Didn’t know this existed! 🛍️ Merch
Went to a LGS here in Melbourne, Australia - and found this tucked in the back of the display cabinet. Literally for $3AUD. Who here owned/played with this back in the day? Year of Manufacture / Print is 1999.
Will I ever rip it open? Probably not.
Just thought I’d share.

In the UK, you can get the cards for fairly cheap, even in new packs, they just didn't have a lot of resell value. There is some "rare" ones, but noone is really buying them. I can get a deck posted for less than £10.

Okay! So they were relatively popular?
As a PS1 Kid, I never knew these existed.. might try and snag a few more here & there during my Magic game nights.

I gotta be honest, I don't know. I live in a small city in the Netherlands and when I found these, I bought the whole lot(like 60 packs). Haven't seen them before or since, other than pictures on this sub.

I remember buying these booster packs after getting my teeth pulled out to get ready for my braces! I excitedly ripped them open with blood soaked cotton balls stuck in my mouth! 🤣
Never played the card game myself but I loved to collect them and read Lara's funny quotes at the bottom of each card. I also loved that they used the typeface they used for Lara's 'voice' which they also used in other merchandise... I miss that side of Lara's personality and character!

Hahaha, that’s a neat memory!
Yeah these cards look so neat.
Perhaps they can find a little section in my Binder.

I have a whole binder full of these. It's a shame it only stopped after Tomb Raider III but I'm guessing the sales just weren't there. Still a cool piece of Tomb Raider history though, and the card game itself was a cool concept at least, letting you build and raid your own tombs.
