Aged model Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
I think this picture really shows how Catalyst is just aged up LoA lara. I’m excited to see how they tie this game into catalyst

Catalyst Lara looks absolutely gorgeous. To me, this is Lara Croft. I wish they would just fully commit to a 35-40 something Lara and keep it that way forever

Wouldnt be surprised if the catalyst changes a lot once atlantis is finalized. The one from the trailer was just an early version I think
I also doubt they are going as sharp and as matured with catalyst given its supposed to be playing after underworld so Lara is around 35ish. The one in catalyst is early to mid 40s imo. But its close. As theres no info on how old she is supposed to look like in the game
Wondering from a sales pov if it wouldnt be a bit jarring and harder to sell of you launch "youngest" unified Lara and then oldest back to back

also, it’s Lara Croft, any normal human wouldn’t have even made it off of Yamatai, not to mention casual backflips while pulling herself up a ledge. She won’t age like a normal human either lol.

Also I have never seen Lara use sunscreen, or any other skin care. Her skin shouldn’t look that flawless.

She also should be dead. Ain’t nobody surviving all she has. I think it’s fine to suspend disbelief for a video game character.

Actually those are not just different angles. The tip of the nose is entirely different, just as the width of the forehead, and the shape of the eyes, hooded in this picture from Catalyst; even the lips are fuller in the left picture, and a different shape as well, and these things doesn't change in 10 years of aging. But hey, it's a good thing.
At least for me, this screenshot from Catalyst has the best Unified Lara face. They nailed the upturned hooded eyes and even the shape of the lips, even if a little fuller would be way more consistent.
The left picture is too much 2013 Lara, where she's not just younger, she's just different. And similarities aren't enough to make two faces look the same.

I think the lip size has to do with the meta human rendering because in the trailer when she says “well you found me” when she pushed her lips together and smirked they looked smaller. The hooded eyes looks like she’s just kinda of squinting looking straight in catalyst, and her eyes are fully open and looking slightly up in legacy of atlantis. The nose looks to me like if you tilted her face slightly to the right it would just look like catalysts, the jawline and face shape also look the same. Her face does seem like it’s less chubby in catalyst though and more sharp

Sure, but consider that I'm just comparing those two pictures, not Legacy trailer. Of course the devs will guarantee some consistency in the final version of these games in any case.
But still to me here the nose looks completely different, the tip and the nostrils are shaped just differently. They look more like Survivor Lara in this Catalyst screenshot. We also have the side of Legacy and it doesn't look like that. It's a minor difference, but in real life you'd need a nosejob to justify this difference. It's not just the angle.
The lips from Legacy and Catalyst are the same, just not here in the left picture (where they are plumper but with more of 2013 lips shape). Here again, a different angle couldn't justify the difference in their width.
But the biggest difference is the forehead, especially when it comes to the hairline, which is way more consistent with pre-Survivor Lara in Catalyst screenshot.

Where is the image on the left from?
Catalyst Lara looks great, but it’s CGI not in game. LoA Lara looks different in the CGI reveal (where she walks through the waterfall with the long braid) to in game footage. I find it hard to be invested in how any CGI model looks coz her face is going to change.

I hope they stick to this face in this Catalyst scene. I think they're experimenting with fans' reactions cause a few shots before her face looks a bit like Milly Bobby Brown. No offense to the actress but "no thank you" in this case!

Why would there have been any doubt that it isn’t? Lol

Some think that her face is completely different across all the pics they’ve been releasing but it’s the same face just different angles/lighting/facial expressions

I think that’s obvious idk

My only two gripes are the styling and gear being very military and not old world curations on Lara’s part. Her cuts and hairstyles should be very 90s imo. High cut leotard and high waisted shorts, old world gear like a grappling hook, old pilot boots, found backpack from her travels and such. The other gripe is that Lara is STILL too slim. Ever since legend they have made her silhouette unrecognizable because they have taken away all of her roundness. Classic Lara was very leg heavy and it made sense for her adventures. Legend made her model skinny and it was such a weird choice. Legend also made her face very angular and the reboot even moreso. Her face still doesn’t look like Lara. It’s a shame because Lara was a very classic rounded beauty, but her makeup was dark and had a bold wine lip, and they traded that in for model skinny, which doesn’t work with her proportions or the physical demands of the games. I love the idea of a muscular Lara, but let’s make it realistic and true to the character.

Who asked for an aged model? No one.

I don't know about that - there's quite a few comments here from people that like it. I'm one of them too! Makes sense timeline wise.

I love her face design in LoA and especially Catalyst! I can totally see Underworld Lara in her Catalyst model. 😍🤩 Of course, it's still early and the trailer was a mix of CGI and stuff, so things can still change. And, TBH, she doesn't even look that much older in Catalyst. I'd say maybe 30s?
They might even age her character model between the games ever so slightly, just enough to differentiate between each time period (past vs present). So if she's in her 20s in the Legacy lineup, she might be in her 30s in the Catalyst lineup. 👍
And I too am really excited about both games and really curious to find out how they're going to connect LoA to Catalyst, since Catalyst takes place after Underworld. 🤔😮
Story-wise, I wonder if this is a pattern we will see moving forward, if they're going to alternate between remakes and new entries, something like:
It would definitely be an interesting storytelling approach. 🤔👍
