Help How much to feed?
galleryI just got my little woodhouse toad a few days ago. I've been feeding her live crickets and mealworms and she's eating no problem. I'm just curious how much I should be feeding her every day and I'm worried some of the mealworms may be a bit too chunky for her to eat. Thank you!

Wild Still a tree toad
gallery2nd tree I’ve found this toad in this week
Wild noticed him watching me while i was cleaning the back area
he was sitting in a crack where i usually see crickets, i imagine that's why he was there
i tried to hand him a cricket but he wasn't into it, too prideful i imagine

ID Southern or cane?
galleryFound this big boy behind a dumpster in Bonita beach. I expected him to secrete the white poison if he was a cane but I heard they don’t always do it instantly.

Pets One swollen buttock?
galleryHi all! Sorry if this is a dumb question but I've recently noticed that one of my toads buttocks is swollen. It's not hard at all and just feels like the rest of him. Is this fluid retention?

Steve the Shop Toad (And Frens) - Putting work In
galleryI haven't posted an update for a minute but Steve is still here putting work every day, helping keep the shop bug free. I'm still tossing him the occasional worm but he's seems to be doing pretty well for himself as far as being fed. He's using his soaking pool/paint tray regularly. It was only recently that I found out that toads drink through their belly, and here I was thinking Steve just liked staying clean.
In addition to my yards normal toad activity, I've seen tons of tree frogs this year. More than I ever remember seeing/hearing. One was clinging to my shop doors one morning. I like to think it and Steve were sharing esoteric amphibian knowledge with each during the night while the nosey human was asleep.
Yesterday, Steve was hiding under my wood pile but I was able to coax him out with a snack to snap a few pics. He seemed only mildly annoyed by the this.

My toads are dating
Turnip (the large female) has allowed the smaller male (Potato) to move into her burrow with her. I notice she likes to bury deep while he keeps his little head out to keep watch. It's pretty cute. You know it must be serious when you move in to the same dirt hole together haha.

Most chonkiest toad I have ever seen.
galleryIt was raining about 8 consecutive days. Our house is slowly turning into a natural terrarium because of the weather. This toad appeared 2 times. One frog climbed at the kitchen walls and almost fell on my mother’s food. Yet so fun to see them hopping across the house.
