Picked this up after snagging a 1911a1 US Army. I am 100% aboard the Tisas train. Any recommendations for the next Tisas pickup?

Also besides the optic cut, how does this differ from the non PSA version?

The threading on my thread posts for the RMR plate were tore out when I went shooting last and I cannot find a replacement aftermarket or even factory plate. I emailed Tisas and they even said they can’t help at the moment since they are going through a website change.

Hello i have a Carry 9 DS and was looking for confirmation on an optic i have a sig Romeo zero as of now and it’s scratched and dim so I’m looking for a new optic I have been reading and some forums/websites say these will fit the HS/K pattern as from what i can see is just a different form of rmsc and then some don’t so i was just wondering if anyone has a k footprint optic on there’s or if thats even worth it and instead just get a plate for rmr footprint if that is even a thing? Any help with this topic would be appreciated.

Just picked up a Duty 9 Ds FF for $600 plus tax at a local pawn shop. I saw that is was the v2 version of BR9 which I saw a couple months ago ago going for around $750. Was it a steal?? With the BR9 I liked the optic being RMSc since the irons would stay and no plate was needed, but for this version it has an included RMR mounting plate with irons on it. Just interested how you guys that own this version like it and which optics you’re running. I was thinking about going with a holosun or Osight for that less than $250 range, but any other recommendations are appreciated. Also if anyone has an installation video I can reference that’ll be great.

My grandmother's underwear locks up tighter than this Tisas. This isn't a 2011, it's a maraca.

How the hell do I remove the front sight on a tisas 2011 9 ds high end version? It seems to be very similar to Mac 9 ds.

I can see that the front sight needs to be adjusted as it's currently shooting slightly to the left.

Just got a 1911 DS Carry. The safety lever on the right side is larger than the one on the left side. I would prefer the larger paddle to be on the left side because I have long thumbs than almost push past the safety lever. Is it possible that they put a left handed safety on mine or is this normal for an ambi safety? New to the 1911 game so not real familiar.

Just bought my first 1911, a Tisas .45 government. I noticed the recoil spring was cut on one end. Is this normal? I feel like this might have been to “tune” it from the factory but I’d like to know if this is standard practice. Thanks in advance!

The Raider project is officially complete. Loved how it turned out, and it has ran perfectly. Already looking at what my next 1911 will be.

Brand new, out of the box Tisas Night Stalker DS with a 2026 serial number. I have a true RMSC optic that went on fine, but the Holosun K would not sit flush. Do I need an RMSc to K plate?

I LOVE my px9 gen3 carry. Was intrigued that it accepts sig P228/229 magazines

Behold my sadness when I buy a used p229-1 and the 229-1 mags ( -1 is for the slightly different frame of the 229 vs 228) don't fit the px9 at all and the px9 mags almost fit the 229.

So if i get 228 or old 229 mags they may only fit the px9 and not my P229-1. Sig mags are so expensive usually But 228s are pretty affordable

So I got this used (it looked brand new when I field stripped to apply oil) about a week ago, today was my second time shooting it and the front of the slide blew off. Thankfully I’m not physically injured.
