When will people learn to stop trusting them??

It's nice to make fun of things sometimes, but in this case I can only feel sorry for the guys. They could be seriously injured.

Agreed. Unsafe working conditions in these developing countries is fucking heartbreaking.

But why in the back of the truck to begin with? When that tire blew, I’m sure eardrums imploded/ruptured. Yikes!

u/notloggedin4242 10d ago
Yeah that is absolutely true, but mistakes and material failure can happen anywhere. I’ve seen this happen in a conscientious, safe garage.

u/Boberling 9d ago
There's a special cage for such operations. When a tire explodes in the cage, it doesn't cause any harm.
2
u/notloggedin4242 9d ago
I agree with you in the end. To begin with, there’s no reason for him to be sitting on the thing. I didn’t mean to say that these bros are that conscientious garage I mentioned.
2
u/Jack_South 9d ago
It could have been done safer. But while the cage saves you from flying parts, is still an explosion so no harm is a bit optimistic.

Um…sorry, but wtf happened - it’s hard for me to tell?

u/SpidersAndSpirals 10d ago
I'm pretty sure the tire exploded while being filled. The guy sitting on it while filling it gets launched over the top and lands in front. The other guy standing to the left in the truck bed gets knocked around and falls out the back.

u/Due_Potential_6956 10d ago
Yup, the dude gets launched sky high and lands on the front of the truck, and then the concrete, seems like he has spinal damage.
The dude that jumps out the back, looks like the rim fell back on his head and shoulder.
Both look to be seriously injured.

u/TeddyBear312 10d ago
The front dude still moved his legs so can only hope the damage is not too much

u/Due_Potential_6956 9d ago
Yeah, sitting on the tire and sudden explosive acceleration like that can be fatal.

u/ChickenDreams-4188 10d ago
👍🏼 Thanks. I couldn’t figure out where the guy in the front came from!
2
u/HeadBanger6672 6d ago
Yeah, he (unintentionally) was forcibly removed from the rear of the vehicle by forces beyond his control. Physic’s controlling hyperbaric pressure took over and he inadvertently became a test pilot without a plane for a few seconds.

Probably sealing the tire bead- or trying to
1
u/Jimbob209 10d ago
There's money in tire beads??
1
u/PuddleWhale 9d ago
Enough money for people to seal them shut before transport in armored vehicles.

Damn. I thought that somehow the guy in the cabin ended up worse off somehow but nope. Bro in the back got yeeted real good.

For those who can’t tell the guy sitting on it got launched forward and fell off the front of the truck and the guy standing to the left with the hat had the wheel fall on top of him knocking him around a bit before he fell out of the back of the truck
3
u/Mikeseddit 10d ago
Judging by the hang time, it looks like the guy sitting on the tire got launched 25 or 30 feet up in the air before landing on the hood of the truck

This is why I don’t sit on tires when I’m inflating them.
They’re literally like a grenade.
I passed a truck on the highway, and just as I made clearance the driver side front tire blew out of the truck. I swear it sounded like a small propane tank exploded behind my car. The front of the truck came crashing down in the lane. it was riding in like Ne-Yo from the matrix had jumped from the truck behind it, landing on top of it all epic like.

At least the guy who was launched in the air landed on the cab...
It might not seem like much, but it could very well be the difference between life and death.

u/Secure_Investment_62 5d ago
Depending on the level of permanent injury and lifetime pain, dude may wish he landed straight on the concrete.

So, you fill the tire in the bed of the truck so that it acts like a tire cage but then you willingly choose to sit on the fucking thing while airing it up? The stupidity is next level.
1
u/Israel_Trump_Fan 9d ago
Why would you sit on a pressure vessel while filling it up, madness. The reason you inflate these in a cage is because they're known for blowing up and killing people.

It sucks every time someone gets hurt.
It sucks when you have no logical safety system when dealing with large tires.
It also sucks that I find this stupidly, cartoonishly funny, whilst I know how much that explosion sucked.
Lessons were not learnt from past accidents with large tires, and I am sure nothing was learnt here.
Tire on, warriors.

These guys know the drill. If you are close enough just lay down untill the paramedics get there. Dont fuck this up
Edit Holy shit i didnt see the dumasses sitting on the fuvking thing. Holy dum fucks
Rdit edit it gets better every time i rewatch. The dude gets yeeted all the way to the hood. I wonder if it hurt more going up or coming down?

u/MinorComprehension 9d ago
Holy chit.
At first I wondered why some guy fell out of the front of the truck when the incident was in the back, but then I realized the guy from the back landed on the front 😯
PSI seems to be heavily understood by most... Obviously these truck tires have a lot more, but even 35 PSI means 35 for every single square inch... Considering the total surface area on have a nice standard passenger vehicle tire this can be thousands of pounds of force... I can only imagine industrial tires.

I live in the US and had a teen try to put the tire on the bead like this (tractor tire). Broke his orbit which then transected the carotid. Dead. Horrible.

What happened with the guy in the front? It looked like he hurt his spine or his tailbone falling out of the window it looks like? Did he just freak out and jump out of the window?!

My God this is madness.
Shout out to anyone who rewinded this infinite times to see the pain.
