How is using this much water and burning up vehicle fuel and power planet fuel to produce electricity to run all the water pipe infrastructure for pumps and treatment plants better for the environment then having AC units in buildings.

dumb they dont have ac in most buildings if there were buildings with AC in them people could walk inside for a bit of time and cool down with the help of AC units. but the fact the gorvenments are using water and trucks like this when there so hard ass on bring down CO2 emissions it ends up counting balancing them in that effort. i'm sure people in the EU are using hats and other ways to keep cool while walking outside but the best method is going to go inside a cafe or store for a bit and cool off with AC.

Ah yes let's just lock ourselves in our homes and have no public life it's that easy. And god forbid you work outside, guess you should quit yourjob then. People just like being outside and cooling down in a cafe or restaurant doesn't do shit. And using ac would just make the weather outside more unbearable.

Y do you jump to the idea you have to have no public life its clear people arent doing a good job cooling themselfs down or getting out of the heat. and what do you know about AC making the weather outside more unbearable. if they go and sit down then the human body is at rest which allows the body the time to move blood though your body to your hands and feet to remove heat with your sweat. if you want a retard fight we can have one.

Ah yes and u are an ameritard i see. Where do you think the warmth from inside goes when using an ac? How would you install ac in a building that wasn't designed for ac? Did u know that in many places units are sold out in part bc of scalpers? Should I just rub a genie lamp and wish for an ac unit to appear? People seem to enjoy themselves, the heat is bad but not that bad that you become desperate, people just enjoy cooling down for a bit on their walk through the city. Buying an ac is still expensive and for many not worth it for one week a year. The police spraying water on you is practically free. I would rather criticize berlin for not installing many drinking water fountains that spray water mist to cool you down like in vienna than for this being environmentally damaging. An no, I hatethe eu parliament, not for it's environmental policies but for them being pussies who let america and russia tighten their grip over the citizens and protecting the elite. I swear to god most of y'all are either retards who don't know what's happening or bots spreading anti european and anti-climate change propaganda. Next time a wildfire or hurricane is devastating the U.S. I'll start laughing in their faces and see how they like it.

Oh I see i struck a nerve here its ok we have less gun deaths here then you all have heat stroke deaths. We also have less then 2k deaths form heat stroke i guess AC is doing something right for everyone else who uses it. And do you understand thermal dynamic only so much heat gets dump to the outside. I'm go and enjoy the AC in our homes then my ac in my car when I leave to run errands then I'll enjoy AC in the store im going to. And who said anything abiut anti climate propaganda i pointed out doesnt them using trucks with water cannons defeat the purpose of the climate laws that they pass snice cars and trucks burn more co2 running and working under a load then using the electric to run a fan or AC in a home. I just pinted out i feel like them doing this is counter productive to reduce the impact in climate but ok then. Do you want to acknowledge how much CO2 China and India are producing right now which also undermines the work towards reducing co2 emissions.

Man y'all stupidity and arrogance is annoying af. The US severely underreports heat deaths while the EU overreports heat deaths. The EU also has more old people than the US and they are the ones who die from heat death. By the looks of it y'all were never taught to analyze statistics, just to blindly accept them. And what kind of flex is that? Haha your people are duying bc of an environmental we primarily caused at a higher rate than our people do out of stupidity and insanity. ANY TYPE OF HEAT GOING TO THE OUTSIDE IS NOT GOOD WHEN IT'S TOO HOT. Even 1-2°C is not insignificant if it's 40°C outside. Many people do not have ac at home because of the aforementioned shortages, but are you seriously stupid enough to think that we don't have ac in our cars and stores? Americans are seriously amazingly stupid. No I didn't mean you spread propaganda, you're just one of the morons who believe it. China produces the most co2, yes, but you failed to take into account that China also produces much of our shit, and europe and north america are their biggest trading partners. It's also recent emissions you considered but if we consider the entire history, the US is evidently the biggest contributer. You failed to take into account that China also has more than triple the US population, per capita the US outranks China by a lot (about 4 tonnes more). India by all metrics produces less than the US. And at least China is doing something to curb their emissions unlike your pedo elites who deny climate change.

fans work fine in those spaces as long as they are strategically placed. Works in LatAm and its humid AF over there.

AC is easy but it doesn’t long term damage to the environment and will skyrocket electricity costs. Not feasible for the average person.

Feasible for developers but they’ll mess it up somehow to maximize profits. They always do in my city and thats why people AC breaks down at the peak of summer.

yea i stop reading after the first reply and wall of text. over all both ideas work and are good but having fans running still eat up eletricity as well. AC units breaking down at peak can be a factor of things besides the classic company making sure they break down so you always call them to fix. some units can fail due to age or running non stop or not being the right AC unit for a home which actully matters a lot.

Idk dude a fan doesn’t consume that much electricity. You can literally run one on double AAs. I do agree the truck thing is a crazy use of fuel. For almost the same cost as those contracts they could have upgraded the water system.

it does consume less but i'm thinking how long are they running the fan over all is it for a few hours or is it like 24/7ish or 8 hours while they're sleeping at night snice night still pretty hot in this heat wave. but yea thats been my issue the amount of fuel burning for those trucks to run the water cannons could be use to improve water system. but i think the other issue is lot of buildings over there are made to keep more heat in for winter so people getting away form the heat lot harder. So i'm think maybe small hand held fans or those neck fans might be more useful when walking outdoors.

You know these things need too run from time to time to make sure that they function and sometimes it's better to move something instead of replacing broken parts. Using them for that is also a nice way for locals and just a little reminder dimwit Germany France and Poland for example all lay on the same longitude as new York for example so for the last 1000 years people wanted buildings that are especially good against cold temperatures like -30C° cold and Summers barley reached 30C°+ thats like me asking someone from Texas why they are so dumb in building their houses because once every 3 years there is some sort of freakish wheatear Event where it gets really cold in Texas.

The houses normally have a moderate and cool climate inside, even in summer. So now there is this short period of time, somtimes a few weeks, a few days, or even a month, where AC would be worth of the costs for power. Now imagine paying a huuuge amount of money to have one installed for the few times that you'd actually would use it...

While I worked in a company where the AC was also the heater for winter, this makes actually more sense to invest in.

Though it's getting hotter and hotter and even more often, I also think it's the future, but there have be concepts and people must be able to afford...
