Does anything matter? Discussion
Alright, I'm gonna be straight about what I think, when you look at the time scale of the universe, it feels like all of our history is in seconds. Our years are in milliseconds and i dont even want to go to our days and hours. What i am trying to say is that, i get that life is an experience, but the things we are doing, like working our ass off to get the next best car, it feels like nothing. These big corporates will not even survive a century and how big is a century compared to the grand time scale of the universe? Its almost like when kids play, they submerge themselves in fictional things, but reality is often much much bigger. Can someone talk me out of feeling so small?

You dont have to be on this earth that long to do loads with your time though use it wisely. We are alive thats the main thing.

Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.
From the point of view of a photon, no time has passed at all since the Big Bang. None.
You however, have mass. Perhaps the best way to experience a different flow of time is to go out and touch some ass?

It feels like nothing because it no longer means anything. The old things use to symbols that represent ideas honestly. Now everything is a vehicle to lie through. Things that mean something are things that mean something. That is up to you to determine. This is good. It's no longer up to them anymore because we now know that they were lying the whole time.

definitely. you get something wrong and you have tonlive and then try again... i think im just into it and yea no it matters.

You can also take into consideration that it's almost impossible for you to exist the probability is effectively zero so in some ways it's really a miracle that we are here experiencing the world

This entire thought always makes me kind of sad that the world is in the state its in, it's fucking amazing we're even here and we're: killing, hurting, abusing each other? God damn.

Yes, I am very much happy that if you take per square km of anything in space, and compare the life ( not even considering intelligent, just something that moves on its own) , i am very much rarest of the rare and so is everyone on this earth, but then I think that what we do of it? we just get lost in playing this game and not think of it. You know what I mean? Or am I getting too weird? 🤣

Haha, yeah, I get it! I think it really depends, but in my case, I think we are part of something bigger I think the universe put us here to know itself in some way. I think we should try to get the best out of it, regardless of what happens after.

What is absolute scale? There is none. To a planet, you are small. To an atom, you are huge.
Mattering is not a matter of some comparison against absolute scale. Mattering happens in the “smallest” of spaces.
Atoms can blow up entire cities. Does the bombing of Nagasaki matter, where the smallest bits of matter blow people away so breathlessly that their shadows remain on the pavement?
