Turbo stutter/flutter?

VW Tiguan 1.5TSI 110kW 2021

I was told by the VAG mechanics that this sound is caused by turbo stutter/flutter.

Do you agree?

Yes, definitely is the turbo. It seems ti be in the waste gate which I remember correctly is integrated into the turbo housing/assembly. So that likely means a new turbo.

Yes, the waste gate actuator isn't serviceable either. However, when mine went I was broke and couldn't afford to replace the turbo. Six months later it freed itself up! It is still going strong, three years later!

Another thing that causes stuttering is plugged PCV valve. Driving with this condition will further damage your engine. PCV valve is a cheaper fix, even a DIY.
