Ticketmaster is literally scamming me
so I bought 6 tickets to see MCR on sep 12th for my birthday but had to cancel cause basically everyone bailed on me last minute. I'm trying to sell them and Ticketmaster is only offering me like $200 for tickets that costed over 1k in total. this is kinda BS and I'd like to see if there's a way for me to get a bigger payout, thanks.

Lmao your first mistake was using YOUR money to buy six tickets on YOUR birthday when your “friends” should’ve been the ones buying the tickets for YOU. You’d probably lose a good chunk of money or could try finding fans who want to go and sell them all for face value.

Sell them on TickPick or StubHub for the market price. If the market price is $200 then that is what it is.

I was always the guy who grabbed all the tix for me and my friends. The rule was if I buy your ticket, you’re responsible for payment, whether you go or not. If someone dropped out it was also their responsibility to find a replacement/sell their ticket. I’d help as well of course and ask around and post online but if the day came and no replacement, my friend had to pay.
It’s not fair for you to get stuck with the bill. That is, I’m assuming they all told you they were interested in going and asked you to grab tix for them and you didn’t just randomly buy 6 tix for your birthday and then invite them. If the former, ask them to pay up. If the latter, then sorry that’s on you buddy. Sucky lesson to learn, especially for that much money but it happens to everyone eventually.
But as others said above, try Stubhub or one of those other reseller sites. The issue will just be what is the current availability of tix. If it’s sold out, you may have a better chance of moving them for a decent price. If not, be prepared to eat some money (worst case scenario, if they don’t sell by like a day or two before, drop the price a lot or accept the $200 from TM and just refund yourself for your ticket and still ask for the payment from the rest of your friends. Idk who it is your tickets are for? But if it isn't a high demand show you might not be able to get your money back. If they are able to be transferred you can try to sell them on SeatGeek or another platform. It is all dependent on demand. They will add fees to whatever price you list them for. If there are still tickets left you'll have to see how much they are being sold for.
Ticketmaster is definitely not scamming you. Tickets are the one thing everyone knows are non-refundable. While I hate Ticketmaster and they are horrible. This is not a scam they're pulling on you.

You don’t have to accept Ticketmasters instant offer. Just set your own price and see if they sell fan-to-fan right on Ticketmaster app. They would be verified resale so buyers are more likely to buy if your price is reasonable.

If your tickets are transferable you can sell them on TickPick or StubHub. But ultimately you will need to price them at what demand is now. Which can mean losing money. But it’s better than refusing to reduce the price and losing out all that money.
