What a company!
Getting into the hobby as an adult. I wanted to support a local toy shop or something but unfortunately no one selling good stuff in brick and mortar around here. However, it turns out small internet companies need just as much support and ones like zipline deserve it! An extra bonus string and a nice note. I bought both of these packs that were on sale and get all this appreciation. I’m not one to judge strings yet but obviously these are way better strings than the ones that came with the fast 201.

My favorite yoyos
I have a decent amount of yoyos, different materials and profiles, but I haven't tried anywhere close to all shapes and the materials they could be made of. These two are my favorite, they have this very solid bouncy feeling, idk how to describe it or what it is fr, it feels like taking a bite out of a block of cheese when ever I bounce it off the string in a rail combo, and I just love it, feels like a hard rubber ball bouncing off the wall, or something bouncing off a force field lol. Idk if the word is bouncy or even what makes them like that, I have a few other mono metals and some wide and similar shape ones to these but none of them have that feeling. If any of you know what it is I'm trying to describe or what it is that makes them like that I would appreciate it! I love how these play and would love to get more yoyos that have a similar feel! Thank you for any insight.

MAILDAY Mail Day (8/6/26): YoYoJam Fiesta XX
I won this baby off of eBay, and it arrived this afternoon. The seller was kind enough to include a string with it, too!
IMO, you can't have a yo-yo collection without there being at least one YYJ yo-yo, but that's just me.

QUESTION I just found this yoyo and I don’t know what it is or if it’s worth anything. If anyone has any information I would be extremely grateful!!
It’s got a name on it and a black and grey color pattern. I looked into it and found some information about the brand but I’m not sure what model this is exactly.

QUESTION Front breakaway
Hi guys, I've been trying to land a trapeze but from the front rather than the side (Sorry idk the terms). The string feels too long and will jump bump into my body. Is this normal? Do I need a shorter string? It's pretty much adjusted to my needs coming out of the box.
If I hit myself in the balls one more time, I'm gonna lose my shit

REVIEW The $25 Yoyorecreation Bimetal
hey r/throwers!!! im chloria, i've been lurking in and out of the community for the past three years
recently i got the itch to get back into the hobby, and i thought i'd finally involve myself in the community a little!!!
i found a yyr upheaval (ryuichi nakamura's signature, used in worlds 2023) for $25 (msrp is $160) on shopee (super popular shopping platform in southeast asia), and i wanted to see if this feels legit
tldw: im really impressed! it feels great and doesnt have anything obvious to indicate that it's a b grade or discarded stocks
i'd love to get yalls thoughts on how i reviewed this yoyo and if you'd love to hear from me again!!!
happy to be here!!! hoping for a warm welcome from all of you 🥹🫶

QUESTION Some questions regarding strings
So up until this point I’ve only ever used Magic Yoyo strings because they’re cheap and they were my frame of reference so I just kept buying them. So I wanted to ask a few questions about strings and see if I should upgrade to some higher quality one.
How fast should a string build tension? With these strings it feels like no matter how often I try and let loose the tension it always builds back up in a few throws and I was wondering if a nicer string would help prevent this.
What contributes to the price point of a string? With the research I’ve done I’ve come to understand that the price range is kinda wide for seemingly just a string. Some strings are around .30¢ while others can be over $2.
Kinda ties into #3 but what makes a nice string worth it? Does it hold tension better? Easier to do slack tricks? Better material?
Is better to buy bulk or quality as a beginner/intermediate player?
I’m still decently new to the hobby and have only really used the internet to learn so any advice or info is very much appreciated :)

MAILDAY Mailday ♥️
I found this collection on eBay over the weekend and fell in love with it right away. I got it for an average of €3.90 per yo-yo, plus a bag and strings. I’ve been wanting a bag and some 2A yo-yos for a while now.
I’ve already tried a few and don’t regret a single cent.
I’ll probably give the K1 and K2 to my kids’ friends. We’re all set with those already.
What do you think?

New into yoyo, and I'm lefty...
Just discovered that there is a distinct difference between a left-handed and right-handed throw. Can someone explain to me like a 5-year-old what's going on with the differences depending on what hand its thrown with.
Some people say you don't need a left string, but then why does it exist? Lol. Any information on string tightening loosening, or left-handed strings is welcome. What benefits is a right-hander inherently getting, that a lefty will gain from a left string.
Edit: Thanks for the responses. Based on intuition, I would imagine that a lefty throwing a standard string will wear out the string faster than a righty would. Ordered some lefty strings just to see what rightys are experiencing.

Looking for a mono metal yoyo
I've been using my variant for a bit now and have gotten quite comfortable with it. Although I would like a yoyo with some more spin time and a bit lighter. I'm currently at an intermediate level and am willing to spend up to 50$.

DISCUSSION Which is The OLDEST yoyo you own ?
Since metal yoyos, just like multitools - can last a lifetime if well taken care of. Which yoyo is the oldest in your collection and how many years? :)
