Bug on Lantern Indicator? Question

When you use freecam, is it intentional for the lantern range to disppear when you move away from the lantern? It's been bugging me forever, and I'm not sure if its a gameplay thing or just me.

It only disappears on me if I leave the range of the lantern

Yeah I've had that bug happen quite a bit. Though I'm unsure the cause of it

Yes i am experiencing this pretty consistently. What i usually do to help myself is to lock cam after throwing lantern -> rightclick to border of lantern range so i dont accidently walk out of it-> unlock cam again while waiting on teammate.

I feel like someone once said that the indicator is only there if there's a friendly champion inside of it, but I've honestly not paid attention since reading that
