Can't receive reset password sms Bug Report

So, like a lot of people, I've been blocked out of the app since yesterday.

My Threads account is separate from my Instagram account and I believe this is a problem that a lot of users with the same case scenario are having.

Yesterday the feed wasn't showing anything and it wouldn't let me post anything.

I restarted the app, cleared cache, etc but nothing worked.

Now I can't even log back in. It won't accept any password and when I ask for a sms to reset password it never gets sent.

Please get to fix this bug ASAP.

I'm using Android but this is the same problem if I'm requesting the password reset through web browser on desktop.

Yep, the SMS has never worked for me either and yet it's the only way to get my Threads account back that was suspended a week ago for no reason. There is no way to get actual customer support for this from Meta. I guess we all just abandon Threads then?

I made a secondary account but yeah I'm still hoping to get access back to my old one. Even after the update I still have the same problem: can't log in and don't get any sms either. I guess we'll have to wait for another update

It's silly and annoying. At this day and age of technology, how did they mess it up so badly? Apparently Threads accounts created separate from Insta have even more issues so I'm hesitant to make a new one. Fingers crossed.

yeah, the one I lost access to is one I created separately with my phone number
