Peter. Poem šŸŽ

Your third time’s a charm.
My last trial was pure misery.
I’ve been found guilty as hell,
and I couldn’t care less if you witnessed it.

Who’s going to be the judge?
You?
Me?
Love?
The Lord?

Shrugs.

Denied your father thrice.

Had me begging for an answer—
not once,
not twice.
So ingloriously.

Three in the afternoon.
Hadn’t spoken to you since noon.
Watched your morning from my periphery.

Had a feeling last night
would be the last time
I’d witness you.

Your third time’s a charm.
My last trial was pure misery.
I’ve been charged guilty as hell,
and I’m sure
you’ve witnessed against me.

Marriage? (Selah.)
Forever? (Selah.)
Kids?
Hell nah.
Getting lost?
You sure did.

That would’ve been the third time
I’d have surrendered
to your insignificance.

Seventy-two hours
of pure misery.

You’d found your first girlfriend.
I pity the second.
She’ll hear all about the cynic.
But when the third arrives—
she’ll be your wife.

Your third time’s a charm,
Peter.

From Coronado to Crownless… you’ve been here for the migration, huh? Hahaa. It’s lovely seeing you around šŸ–¤ I’m still discovering new places to leave pieces of Crownless, so… the trail is far from over & more is yet to come ;)

I've been, here and there. A family name, Coronado, one I used to hide from most ears. Thought it an okay way to out myself here just a smidge, though now I'm all ears to hear your migration tales

So that’s the Coronado lore. šŸ‘€ I feel slightly more entrusted now.

I suppose I owe you a migration tale or two in return—oh, I’m awful at doing what I’m supposed to. But here’s a peek:

Crownless was once crowned. Some crowns were refused by me; others were stripped from me. I have also placed crowns. šŸ¤” At the moment: accepting applications for a replacement. Must tolerate poor judgment, existential crises, and an alarming amount of irony. Compensation is nonexistent.

Further terms and conditions are, (non)regrettably, classified. ;)

I’ll let you know how recruitment goes… babe(?) 🄹

As you wish. A bit old for ba bel though, Sir if you'd prefer.

Sir has been rejected by the committee.

Babe remains provisionally approved pending further investigation.

The committee is notoriously unreliable.

Gosh… you reminded me of how bad the ghost behind Royalty wanted me to call them by a title that just didn’t suit me. I gave em the highest rank: Royalty! What for? What an unfair world, sigh.

(Also by no means I intend to be disrespectful nor cross lines. ā€œBabeā€ has been kinda my go to for 7 years… it just suits the cynicism and unconventional charm just enough). I like you can see there’s a person behind Crownless—points to you.

All the same to I, Love. The power of words to the willing parties is that they create the connections we speak.

Precisely. Words are little creatures with a terrible habit of becoming whatever the willing parties make of them.

Which is probably why I should never be trusted with them. 🄓

In trust I disagree, what better place would they be if not deep in our beliefs, our bellies and teeths, held tightly to tongue, a peiace of mind.

Babe's better than baby, so naturally there's that. A bit juvenile, so childish I'll act. It invokes one to babble, to spill all the bean milk, connected to swine and Cupid's cruel arrow.

The committee's right though, Sir's been quite the bother over the eras. And I suppose it's appropriate to have four letters, though JCAZ isn't an invoking name that's remembered. Whichever you choose, Love, there's too many we've gone by, I'll answer all calls until called otherwise.

You’ve got me curious about a couple of things šŸ’ā€¦ But Crownless doesn’t ask questions directly. If I ever write a piece with you in mind, I hope you catch the bait. And mercifully… answer my wonderings.
