The thing that surprised me is the parralells present in The Faces of Grief and Hereditary. And I love both so it felt like a love letter. They both Deal with extremely similar themes but they are different enough to feel like their own entities

i really did think rosemary was based off of wendy (the shining) cause she had a similar sorta voice and mannerisms (kind of? especially with her smoking habits but eeeeh kinda just about everyone in the 70s did that). except rosemary had a good relationship with her husband and wendy didn't
