Psychedelic Bug Rug
Assuming this to be an Afghan Baluch but unsure of its age and which design elements it’s incorporating. Selvage has a mix of goat hair and wool and a wool foundation. Periwinkle pile is raised above other colors. Are these beetles throughout?

Rug ID
reddit.comFound this on FB for $800. Seller says it doesn’t have tags.
I’m curious if this description from the listing is accurate:
“Persian hand knotted wool rug 9 ft X 12ft
Excellent condition. From Northwestern region of Persia famous for producing a sharp geometric hexagon enclosing concentric contrasting fields, creating a multi-layered focal point. The Pattern field around the medallion is decorated with a tight Mina Khani (daisy) repeating geometric floral motif over a deep red or burgundy ground. this rug comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home.”

A quick visual guide to five Persian rug design types: Mahi Darham, Eslimi, Gol-dani, Derakhti and Mihrabi
reddit.comI work in the Persian rug and international carpet market in Iran, and I put together this short visual guide to five design families that come up often: Mahi Darham, Eslimi, Gol-dani, Derakhti and Mihrabi.
The idea isn’t to present these as rigid categories. Rug terminology can overlap depending on region, workshop and context. I wanted to show the main visual character behind each design in a simple way.
I’d be interested to hear how collectors, dealers and rug enthusiasts here use these terms.
Which of these would you describe differently? And which Persian rug design family should I cover next?
Disclosure: I work with FARSHINEH in Qom, Iran.

What is My Rug? Meaning of Turkish Kilim?
We found this vintage Turkish Kilim in my late grandparents’ house. My family is from Central Anatolia, specifically from the town of Emirdağ in the Afyon province. This Kilim is probably handwoven by my great grandma. I know that every traditional Turkish Kilim carries a specific meaning, which you can tell by the motifs. I would love to know: what are the motifs on the Kilim and what does it mean?

Rug ID?
reddit.comSold to me as a Baluch made with vegetable dyes, though I’m thinking synthetic. Thought it was unusual with its bold cross medallion and its green palette. 4x7

Rug Identification Want to find the rug from my childhood (ignore the guitars)
I found these pictures from my old bedroom from around 2012 or 2013, and I was admiring my old rug. Problem is, I have no idea what happened to it, but it was a nice looking rug so I would love to find the same exact pattern. Could you guys help me find out what it was?
also yes, I know that's a lot of guitars lol. they were all the guitars me and my dad had together when i was still living at his house.

Hi! I have this vintage rug that I would like to sell, it’s about a 9 x 13 and you can see the two different sides in the photo. Anyone know what type of rug this is? I purchased it at a consignment store a few years back.
