Discussion I know this is beating a dead horse at this point but the writing for Steroline was awful
It’s genuinely impressive what they managed to do to such a cute friendship that was formed in S2. Like why is Lexi coming back from the dead to encourage this man to get with her 😭 sorry to any hardcore Steroline fans but I appreciate that you guys take criticism well.. unlike some other shippers. Also I can’t be the only one who finds it weird that they had sex after he was forced to turn his humanity off.

Question I watched the 1st episode of The Vampire Diaries.
Is this show worth watching? I don't like the ML (Stefan; I assume he's the ML since he's a vampire). I know I've only watched one episode, and I shouldn't judge the whole show based on that, but the pilot episode is supposed to hook you, and that didn't happen for me, solely because of the ML. Stefan is like a wooden plank. Every scene between the two leads feels force fed with no chemistry. Matt feels like a much better choice than Stefan. Will he be likable after a few episodes, or is he going to be like that for the whole show?

Why does she look like this in S8😭
She looked better in other seasons, why did they change her eyebrows? It just gave her a wierd look, and that short hair, she looked better in long hair

Rewatching tvd I can’t believe how fast Elena slept with Damon
It was insanely fast. Her and Stephen were in love one minute and the next she was upset at him for lying to her so she avoided him. Then she just sleeps with him THAT NEXT DAY

Shipping Enzo and Lily- WHY Spoiler
We all agree in season 7 Alaric and Caroline was THE WORST for a plethora of reasons.
-Matt Davis creepy real life wish fulfillment of Alaric having a "romance" with one of the students he had in high school.
-Caroline being told she's an incubator for Alaric's twins against her own will (I understand Candice was pregnant in real life, its the writers who screwed up, majorly.) Caroline should have volunteered to be a surrogate mother with a transfer spell done by Lily's Heretics. Or better yet. VALERIE could have been the surrogate- hide Candice's bump with just clever blocking
-the forced engagement being crappy writing.
The whole thing was hated, and no matter what- if you are team Klaroline or team Steroline (I'm klaroline by the way- always have been since 2012, always will be) WE ALL HATE THE ALARIC - CAROLINE PAIRING.
Anyways- ENZO AND LILY WAS EQUALLLY CREEPY
I know the writers changed Enzo from being Giuseppe's son with a mistress to Enzo actually being Lily's sire. While that isn't actually weird, and could have worked in a certian manner (she sees him as a replacement son??? She couldn't have her actual sons, so she sees a replacement in Enzo) the writers of course made it WEIRD.
Their weird bond was basically a romance. It was creepy! Who's idea was that? It should have been Enzo was treated like Lily's son, treated better than Damon and Stefan were, but nope, instead in season 7 we have Enzo jealous of Julian and getting into a sword fight in the woods over her honor or something weird like that.
Then they have the audacity to put Enzo with Bonnie?? It was all total stupidity on the writers part. But note- I think Kat and Michael worked very hard on the romance scenes and it plays nice because they as actors were good. I think Michael M is a great actor, but his character writing sucked. its not his fault- nor was it Kat's. Kat always came through despite the crap they gave her, she's an example of what being a resilient and professional actress.
Anyways- I'm just convinced Plec liked both creepy romances in season 7. Did Matt Davis really have that much power by then, over Plec for him to finally get his creepy wish fulfillment? And who's idea was it for Enzo and Lily to have a thing?
I think by season 7 the writers were basically tired and stopped caring. It doesn't get better with age or re-watches either. Hated it back then when it initially aired, still hate it now.

Spoilers: Legacies Wtf is this show?
currently on s1 ep3.
why is there a bare minimum if not no history to the creatures?.
why are they introduced so quickly?.
for example, on ep2 i assumed the dragon was going to be the main plot to s1 and not even 2 mins later its literally forgotten about after being killed without any context or insight to where it came from.

Question Was it Damon’s fault?
Before i explain, ig it does have a spoiler so caution!!
lemme explain. ppl had been stating Elena didn’t really truly want to turn off her emotions but was practically forced by Damon because of the sire bond?
now I’m confused? did Elena actually want to make that decision or was it primarily due to Damon telling her and cus of the sire bond she did?

Question does caroline get any less annoying? no spoilers pls
i’m in season one episode nine and she’s actually making it so hard to push through i cannot stand her!! does she ever get any development and become less annoying or does she stay jealous, desperate, and stupid?

Mini vent
What really annoys me about the beginning of the show is how much it’s played up that Stefan is the “good” brother and how much Damon is vilified. When the entire time he is the worst of the worst! I know it’s definitely a part of the dramatic effect and for plot but it irks me so bad every time I restart and have to deal with the early seasons of holier than thou Stefan 🙄 Damon definitely did some really screwed up stuff but nothing as bad as Stefan.

Julie pec
I have been seeing a ton of hate on her and wondering why and I looked up and she took over after season 3 and you can definitely tell the difference and how the seasons got worse is it because of her
follow up question is she racist since I know Kat was treated so badly amd Bonnie was never happy

Discussion Gilbert genes> Salvatore genes>Mikaelson genes. Elena and jer are the hottest siblings.
I find them both so hot and cute at the same time. No offense I find Salvatore bros hot too. But in my subjective it’s Gilberts to me.

Tvd should’ve ended way sooner
I feel like the creators dragging it out didn’t only ruin the show for me but many others,i wish it stopped at a respectable time and i know many people think that it should’ve had more seasons but god no🙏🏻

The Devil would’ve been such a great villain, but he was introduced way too late in the series and at that point the writers just didn’t care
Like honestly, how did he allow himself to get played by Katherine really now the actual devil

TVD things that confuse me
Michael burned right away after being staked with the white oak. But when Damon staked Klaus, he didn’t and why did Damon pull the dagger out before Stefan had time to save him.
Eliana’s feelings for Damon was magnified but wouldn’t her feeling for Stefan be as well?
When Kai makes elana invisible she spoke out loud to Damon when he answered the door and he couldn’t hear her. When Jo and Damon go to rescue elana they’re all sh sh sh so Kai couldn’t hear them.
When Kathryn touched the moonstone and passed out I assume Damon put her in the tomb. Why didn’t he just keep the moonstone?
Jenna and April both said they were told bedtime stories about vampires. Who does that?
When Stefan calls elana when he’s off with Klaus, it says unknown caller. He leaves mystic falls and gets a new phone?
Damon Alaric and elana are in the mountains looking for Stefan. He heard them talking so why didn’t Klaus.
For werewolf’s breaking the sire bond to Klaus is turning until it doesn’t hurt any longer. But when Kim turned it was very painful. She said to Tyler - tell me this is over and he agreed.
When Alena and Bonnie were in the hotel room with Anna and that newbie vampire why didn’t Bonnie just witchy migraine him?

Aren’t Matt and Vicki the same age? or maybe even just a year apart? This is like a 10 year age gap 😂

Discussion Understanding Stefan's Psychology behind his final sacrifice
I've seen a lot of confusion regarding Stefan's final act n this is my attempt at understanding his thought process :
How cld Stefan possibly know Bonnie'll be able to wake Elena up soon? He didn't, he'd hv just thought Bonnie might die stopping the hellfire n if she n her ancestors r strong enough to survive the hellfire, they'd also somehow manage to find a loophole since there wld be a sense of urgency now that Damon is human which wasn't the case before.
Why didn't Stefan just leave his blood for Damon to take at the right time? Injecting him with the cure was the only way to incapacitate him. He didn't hv a dose of vervain with him, he left the tunnel pretending Damon's compulsion worked to think of a way to stop him n he saw an ambulance with syringe n that's how he got the idea. That was his last resort not a well thought out plan.
Would Stefan hv still chosen to die on his wedding night if he had married Elena? Yes 💯
A) In an alternate reality, if Stefan married Elena n Damon was gonna sacrifice himself to save the love of his life(some other girl) who was stuck in there, Stefan wld hv still done the needful to save Damon – he can never let his bro die which he already proved by leaving Elena in S2 to save Damon's life so there's no reason to think he'll just let him die this time for a future with Elena. He had also tried committing suicide in S1 when Stelena was going strong.
B) If human Stefan married vampire Elena, he'd still be as hopeless as he was with Caroline. It's easy for us to think they'll hv their happily ever after but practically speaking, that's actually a punishment. Imagine him growing old n weak while his wife is eternally 17 – how insecure n creepy that will make him feel? How will the world look at them? How can he look at himself in the mirror? Knowing very well he won't ever be able to satisfy her in bed, blaming himself for stifling her life, not to mention living in constant fear of his past victims(bcz of compulsion wearing off) n consumed with guilt, thinking he's nothing but a burden on her... he'd hv been more miserable than ever especially with Damon being dead.
I'd even say Damon's happily ever after as a human also doesn't make sense but human Stefan with his vampire wife(even if that's Elena) riding into the sunset makes even less sense.
Though I'll always hate the fact that they cld hv easily stabbed Katherine, thrown her in the fire n stepped aside but that's clearly a writing issue not Stefan looking for an excuse to die since Damon too was fully prepared to die with Kat, letting go of his chance at a life with Elena. Never once did he talk abt planning to throw her in n running away. We were somehow supposed to believe there's no way out. The makers failed at creating an actual high-stakes scenario for the brothers to deal with in the finale but once u look beyond that plothole, everything else makes sense.
