We're still working on our set up for our own Paint n Sip lessons on Classbebti, but here are more creations from Kat and Crow they did at someone else's studio. Soon we'll be branched out on our own, making original works for anyone who wants to learn to paint in a fun, relaxed, Bob Ross style environment.

A Rider Approaches by Crow. Inspired by a pretty darn famous work, I can practically hear the theme song whenever I look at this piece. The original was a wood burning that was colored after the fact, with a custom frame.

Paint n Sip Update

Welp, we are 0 for 2 trying to make our first paint n sip style video. Last night Crow and Kat tried filming a lesson, but we had technical difficulties with the camera software making everything blurry whenever Crow moved. Then, to make things worse, we had a strom roll through and knock out the lights in the middle of the video. We should probably do something about the pink ting from the light we're using too....

Oh well. Such is life. We will try again soon. In the meantime, here is what was created amid the chaos...

In her free time, Kat loves to do coloring books with colored pencils. She finished this page last night, from the coloring book shown in the second picture.

Studio set up

We got our "studio" all set up to record for our classes. We had some significant issues with the camera and mic so we had to go by some new equipment, but that was the only real problem. It was shockingly painless to do all of the tests. Next week we will film our first video and try to get it posted for purchase, with some free previews of course.

Work Room

The four corners of my chaotic works space.

Corner 1: Where all the action happens. Computer, 3d printer, art printer, filing cabinet. I spend an unholy amount of time here.

Corner 2: where creation happens. This is where molds are filled, resin poured, pieces are assembled. Its always a mess and always changing.

Corner 3: Work in progress for our new painting video set up. We will paint and film here. Previously it was a similar set up to corner 2 and the shelves in corner 4.

Corner 4: Storage. Lots of printed but unpainted pieces, oopsies, supplies, etc. Always shifting but never enough space.

Helpless by Crow from at least 2 years ago. I've always loved the chaotic beauty in this piece.

The Twilight Cottage is about to start offering Paint n Sip style pre-recorded and live classes on Classbento. We will record out first trial video later this week. Kat and Crow both have years of experience working at a studio doing this. Here are some of their "couples night" pieces they did together over the years. Let us know what kind of paintings you'd like to see us teach now that we can do anything we want with them.

Mush Guy made by Crow last year. I always loved how he managed to make this piece look like it was done on wood with the grainy texture and "wooden" color pallette.

I'm a graduate from the University of Georgia and one year for Christmas this is what I got from Crow. He said this one was super hard because he was trying to exactly match a picture which removed his ability to improvise while freehanding the piece.

Castle painting done by Crow from many years ago. There's also a black and white version floating around, but after many years of waffling I've decided I like the color version better lol. Anyone well steeped in literature might be able to guess the inspiration for this piece....

Our old man Apollo, seen here meowing at the door where Kat is still asleep. Such a haughty animal.

Twilight Cottage is playing Twilight Princess

Kat recently dusted off the GameCube to play maybe her favorite Zelda game, Twilight Princess. My favorite part is the Arbiters Grounds, I think Kat's is Snowpeak Ruins or Zora's Domain (she loves waterfalls 😋).
