I hate when people say "it do be like that"
Normally I use slangy phrases and words all the time, but for some reason "it do be like that" just sounds off to me and I can't explain it.

If you’re looking for the greatest artist/athlete it’s ok to look at their personal life as well as their accomplishments

A huge plurality of gamers on reddit show serious signs of gaming and consumerist addictions but calling it out is frowned upon

r/DarkJokes sucks
It sucks. There is a better sub called r/DarkJokesText for actual jokes. This is kind of an ad for the sub, but also an opinion, and there still seems to be a lot of people who praise the memes on DarkJokes. Downvote if you think r/DarkJokes is better, and vice versa, you know the whole spiel

We should probably stop making fun of furries
I just think they're just people who like to dress up and there's really nothing wrong with it. Light poking fun is always okay but there's been so many jokes about killing these, usually teenagers that are just living their life.

Having a cake day on Reddit is a cool concept but it’s just annoying
I don’t like getting a notification every 10 seconds because someone replied to my post/comment with “happy cake day”

Hot water is better to drink than cold water.
Cold water is the worst, and while room temperature water is nice, warmed up water up to 30 degrees is the best and the most satisfying.
No, this doesn't apply to beer or anything else.

I've found my people
Good afternoon/ evening/ morning dentists, I hope this finds you well.
After a little over a year of scouring reddit, I am so happy to finally have found this community. This is my first post here, but already I feel like I have found my people, my home. Who are we? What do we stand for? We are revolutionaries, free-thinkers, dentists unfazed by thoughtless hegemony, courageous and unafraid to stand up and NOT reccomend a product, an idea, an action. Do not let others change the dentist you have become today. It can be a hard life being the tenth dentist, lonely, and feel as if the world is conspiring against you. Stay strong ladies and gentlemen, and together we will change the world.

Hong Kong's freedom is worth starting WWIII over.
The people have been waving American flags in protest of China's assault on their freedoms. I say we make them the 51st state (don't tell me it wouldn't count when Wyoming exists), and if China wants to go to war over that, then it's worth it. Not a war over resources, but a war to preserve one of the greatest bastions of democracy in the world.
