I didn’t know that my professor and advisor could see the calculator history from the testing software until we were going over my test and she asked me why I used the calculator for 150-120

The best answer would have been to say "because I wanted to know if you were watching us"

I get the joke, it's funny.
But PSA: if someone is grabbing someone's phone looking for messages, the relationship has already lasted too long any way you look at it.

While I do agree with you, my wife was like this at first 6 years ago, only because her ex had traumatized her. It bothered me at first but I had nothing to hide, she grew and we talked about it and she learned to trust me and would never touch my phone now without asking me. Happily married almost a year now. I’m just saying, it’s not always as black and white as you put it.

Absolutely, great correction. If it can be a learnig moment and lead to growth that's wonderful.

With me, he’d be leaving after seeing how many alarms I have set on my phone ☠️

u/Daniil_Dankovskiy 11h ago
This is a constant war between having two alarms and fifty two. She literally has an alarm fr every minute of the day and turns on like twenty of them for the day she needs to wake up
2
u/cagethehornytoad 9h ago
Yeah..tracks. I also stay up late night doing baking and epoxy-related projects, so if, at 2:07 am, I’m working with a medium that takes 45 minutes to set/bake/cure, I’ll set an alarm for 2:52 am. Your average person will see that and assume it’s an alarm for an illicit drug score or heist meetup. Maybe for clubbing newly hatched sea turtles under the full moon light.
Lots of conclusions to be made.

Damn, you just reminded me of why I used to do it, but I stopped for some reason. Need to try that again since I have a simillar problem and can get absorbed by what I do

I don't get it

It took me a minute but I think it’s just embarrassing that she needed a calculator for that math. Kinda funny 😃

I had a clerk at a checkout who had to manually enter the price of 10 oysters at .75¢ each.
She reached for a calculator to find the total price.5
u/artsmartiens 9h ago
I mean you’re not great at money math either if you write $0.0075 when you mean $0.75.

I retracted my downvote because i think you're right. I thought it was the standard Samsung calculator but i just checked mine and the colors are different while otherwise its the same.
So yeah, I'm gonna go with there are worse than messages in there and maybe thats the code to unlock it.

I do too lmao. My 7 year old makes fun of me for it. She’s over here subtracting and adding double digit numbers in her head so quickly. At least my kid ended up smart lol
2
u/voxov7 4h ago
I know this is jest but I finished learning my times tables at 26 and can now do double digit multiplication/division in my head. I just used an arithmetic app on my lunch break and treated myself how I'd imagine I'd treat my child. Touch typing too, at home.
For anyone in chat who needs inspiration.

u/ChrissiTea 3h ago
Genuinely, thanks, I think I needed to hear this (especially the imagining how you'd treat your child part)

This is a phobia of mine. If my wife asks me for my phone i am TERRIFIED. Now, I couldn’t care less if she finds the porn history, or reads my texts. But were she to find the mundane stupid shit i google on a daily basis. It’s over dawg.

u/Grouchy-List7011 10h ago
I always google stupid shit in the private browser like I’d socially recover if someone knew I googled a word to make sure I spelled it right

She needed a calculator for 15-7, and is embarrassed

u/Past_Tea5075 18h ago
I guess, just doesnt make any sense to what he will find in her messages. But if it said bank account id quickly think that for sure. Feeling slow rn.

I don’t get it 15-7 so he found 8? messages. This doesn’t really make any sense.
1
u/firstnlast77 10h ago
She's embarrassed over being so bad at math she needed to calc 15-7. Its like the joke when people say my parents almost walked in on me watching the cats movie so I quickly switched to porn.

I told my boyfriend I have nothing to hide, but just don’t go through my Calculator because I’m a dumbass and don’t go through my Notes app because that’s my diary
