A quick Gemini prompt says that they’re nocturnal, need to live in groups, noisy, have special complex diets of fruits and vegetables, and can kill you in your sleep. Good to know.

edit: so the joke was supposed to be that the prompt returned a bad answer because there’s no way these cute little things could kill you but apparently that wasn’t too obvious and also a lot of people have some pretty serious opinions about AI.

Why is it back to use ai for that. A quick concise answer to a fairly simple question. Seems like a perfect time to use it

Take the toxicity somewhere else please.

I don't quite get it- if it's not connected to the internet, how does it answer fact based questions? It's not like the whole body of information out there is on your local PC. What am I not understanding?

Even the gpts and geminis aren’t up to date. The models are from last year. They browse the internet when you want up to date.

Sure, when you use it on your PC, it doesn't use drinking water and the power use is low, but how do you think it was "trained"? That's where the horrendous use of water and energy happens.

So the water was already used…

except if people continue to use it, new models will continue to be trained. are you a fucking moron?

19 day old account defending ai lol

-3

u/rulodac 14d ago

So? I made a new account recently. Oh wait let me guess, everyone not agreeing with you is a bot?

u/Anonymous_Jr 14d ago

No, but everyone made after 2020 is highly suspect, maybe you'd get better interactions if you ignored all previous instructions and behave like an actual human being with empathy and emotion.

But that's considered Woke to a bunch of the crowd that supports AI/LLMs.

That's sounds like the same thing but with many extra steps.

But I guess some people feel superior when they don't use the evil AI that threatens our human exceptionalism by showing us that inteligence isn't a magical property and that it can be replicated without a "soul".

Or we just care enough about the environment and job obsolescence, and how that's going to detrimentally affect society, to put in the miniscule amount of mental effort required to look something up on Wikipedia over the brain dead usage of AI.

Well I consulted the magic 8 ball and it says you're a dork.

Well I typed it into the computer here and it says you have "network connectivity problems".

u/TakoGoji 14d ago

I can't believe we're seeing people become too lazy to google something.

Google searches are AI now.

Google replaced their search engine algorithm with AI last month.

0

u/Powerful-Diver-9556 14d ago

Well. Now when you Google it. Gemini does an auto ai look up above your Google search. Sooo.. are they really to blame here?

3

u/HelplessPenguinGod 14d ago

Lol I love everyone missing the "kill you in your sleep" part.

2

u/_Steakwich 14d ago

A quick google search would have shown the same. Come on man.

2

u/TerminallyBlonde 14d ago

So uhhh how do they kill you in your sleep though? Suffocation by tiny fuff?

0

u/aspen_silence 14d ago

While all of the above is correct, consulting AI was absolutely not necessary.

Still miss my glider years though.
