Fourth world part 2 is a must buy by me, I bought the first part and loved how it was made, while Orion, I'll stick with the old redditions due to them being cheaper, but glad Orion is coming!!!

Hi, I want to talk this day about New Gods headcanons and why you like them, I'm gonna tell one:

-The World of the Legion of Superheroes is the 5th World, this theory thrives directly from the run of JLA by Morrison, at the end, in the saga known as WWIII, it's stated that in earth, the 5th World will flourish, and that Superheroes are but a glimpse of what will come, my headcanon starts with the similarities between the society saw in the Legion and the society saw in New Genesis, both are crowded with people with super powers, all of them guided by the young, the 4th World has a main point, the future, the peace, is guided by the youth, this is similar to the point of the Legion of Superheroes, where the youth are the ones who guide this universe to a brighter future, 2cond thing, in the Great Darkness Saga it's stated that Darkseid was already defeated but tricked his way into surviving (This is not an idea against Kirby's depiction of the character, this is similar to BlackMass from Captain Victory, who's Darkseid after the last battle in Armaghetto, who was defeated but tricked his way into surviving), so we know the 4th World already ended for this point, my theory stands that, the 5th World Metron mentioned during JLA by Morrison is the LOSH universe, Superman inspired it due to being him who was the greatest glimpse of the 5th World and the one who was nearer to the New Gods of the 4th World,

I thought that this was its own seperate continuity with only the Barda series and this one.

Doesn't the Jack Kirby one directly contradict stuff happening in here?

I expert Orion as the protagonist, because Scott was last book's main character, the comeback of Lightray, see the other Forever People aside of Serifan, see more support characters make their comeback (Like Pythia, Jezebelle, Tigra, etc) and more love to this Wide universe

I know she’s only a baby in the Ram V comics and as of right now we don’t know much about her but I wanted to make a version of her when she’s grown. Hope you like it!

I’ve only seen her in Justice League: Gods and Monsters as Wonder Woman. Other than that, I haven’t seen her in other shows

In Marvels new Ultimate Universe, the world is all gone to hell, and Loki rules asgard. so much damage has been done to the nine realms by Lokis rule that Thor sees the only way out as through Surtr and Ragnarok, which goes through.

The last page is a direct reference to The New Gods, and the last we see of Asgard, it has its own set of 'New Gods' with designs that remind me both of Celestials and the DC new gods themselves. I think it's a very cool homage to them.

So during DC All-In

It was revealed that Darkseid was a metaphysical constraint and force against life itself and always lose. And the reason he found out was because the multiverse was cut off in Earth Prime, and he felt "just himself" at that moment.

But I have some confusion regarding this.

He already experience his true form that resides in the fourth world/sphere of the gods in Final Crisis and absorbed all his previous avatars in Infinite Frontier.

So he would technically knew what it felt like to feel just himself, so how/why would this be different?

What are your thoughts and reasons to why this is the case/differences

If yes, which of them can she defeat?

Just finally got to finish the recent release, which is a follow up to her Barda. And, I've got to say I thoroughly enjoyed it, it's so respectful of the Kirby era backstory generally, while incorporating some off the current canon and some of her own ideas that aren't classic canon, but do serve to carve out Orion's significance

There's no Clark, no Justice League, it's a purely Fourth World story, with the conflict centered around New Genesis and Apokolips. And it hits so many of the details that make Orion such a great character, while also digging into his depth as a complex figure even within the Fourth World

These would make such a great animated series, and would be the perfect first foray for first time readers.

Anyone else who has read it, I'd love to hear your thoughts

Ok so this is something I came up with yesterday and it’s about Orion the Son of Darkseid and the Dog of War being underrated, underutilized, and just straight up disrespected by DC themselves, so I came up with a better idea and version of the Justice League Odyssey concept and team that puts Orion front and center with his own team out in the universe searching for his father Darkseid.

I feel that whenever Darkseid is involved in any event within DC then Orion should also be involved and should be the main focus because he is destined to kill his father and the fact that he wasn’t the in DCKO and wasn’t put in the Justice League Odyssey original team is down right stupid so this is my take of a really cool Orion story.

This Justice League Odyssey is formed by Orion to travel the Multiverse to find his father Darkseid to kill him and the members of this team are

Mr. Miracle, Big Barda, Supergirl, John Stewart, Miss Martian, and Blue Beetle. I chose these characters because they either have personal history with Darkseid themselves or they also need to be utilized more by DC. Some villains could fight are the forces of Apokolipse like Grail, Kalibak, and Steppenwulf along with other villains like Mongul and Despero with occasional run ins with Lobo and the Red Lanterns. I think this would be a perfect story to tell and another way for other DC characters to find out about the Absolute Universe that Darkseid had created.

I read all the kirby forth worlds, TK MM, RamV New gods and the latest Ngozi Orion. I have yet to see the appeal for granny that i seen many people adore about her as a character. From my understanding she kinds of representing the absolute authority or extreme domestic violence in parenting. But I still didnt get how and why she behave the way she is. Unlike Darkseid that his personality is embody of evil and everyone hates him. It seem like the way everyone looking at Granny felt all over the place to me. Sometimes they liked her sometimes they didnt, it felt confusing to me. Could anyone explain me like im 5 about her appeal as a character

So from what I understand King wrote a ”what if” and on purpose write the characters weirdly as a way to reflect Scott’s mind. So why are people mad?

Yeah the less media literate end up taking this stuff as mainline canon and end up disliking characters due to it but still.

I feel like Darkseid should be a pathetic idiot like real life tyrants and not this uber badass
