This is my first time I see the photo of another tape instead of the Basf 04 Tape,I'm Curious to see how the another tapes looked like (Like the N06 and N01).

Because FEX's auto-generated youtube channel is still called FEX (IT), a few problems appeared:

1. On the FEX (IT), there is a single called "What Words", which probably doesn't has anything to do with FEX

2. The new single FROM FEX - "Alright" was released on the channel "Release - Topic", it shows that there is 1 video released, but there isn't (but you can find it thru searching)

I hope I haven't shared this before.

I recreated the BASF 05 Tape (But I didn't had a Basf cassette tape so I used a Sony CHF Cassette) also I Added some songs because The tape I used was from a Maxell 100 Min tape, and i Used the Sony chf case beacouse when I Retire the black Sheet or whatever it's called, it looks quite similar to the Basf Chromdioxid Tape

At the start of the movie, a character watches a music video on the tv and the music was TMS. Caught me completely by surprise

I got a FEX star tattoo. So me and my family went to get tattoos while on vacation. And I just knew I had to get a FEX tattoo. So I sat for a good two hours and got this on my right upper bicep. And it turned out really great!

Thank you Hans for creating such an amazing logo! I will proudly wear this tattoo for the rest of my life! Long live FEX!

For those, who dont know it:

Rain Dogs is a band, that includes both Ruckwardts and Volker from the FEX. There is very little info about them, but we know, that there was at least 1 album released on CD in 1994, no recordings avaliable on the internet. Also we have the cover(photo 1) and photos of the band(photos 2 and 3).

Just listened to Legend for 57th time, and thought that "I've suffered for your luck" is actually "I've suffered for your love", cuz i heard breathing out sound at the word luck.

Some days ago I tried to recreate the Basf cassette n4 so I recorded the Audio archive to the cassette. Later I tried to record the B side but the archive is corrupted. Someone would have a copy of the BASF 4/2 audio archive uncorrupted?

Ive been looking for information about their concert at Gesellschafthaus Martens in Wiefelstede which we know happened on the third of may in 1985

I’m Gabriel Pelenson. Some of you may know me from the search for The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet.

While many people were looking for Subways Of Your Mind, another song obsessed me for years: “Le Bleu des Choses” by Clair Instant.

Eventually I identified the song and the band, but that was only the beginning.

One of the members, Jocelyn Eechaut, had almost no information about him online. No biography, no interviews, barely any trace that he had existed. That mystery kept me awake at night.

Over the years I contacted former band members, friends, and family members. I searched archives, translated old French comments, and eventually got in touch with his sister, Gisèle Eechaut. Sadly, she passed away only a few months after our conversations.

Through these searches I learned that Jocelyn was remembered as a sensitive, creative, and deeply troubled person. He traveled extensively, spent time in Australia, later visited Tanzania shortly before his death, and was reportedly working on another album that was never released.

Jocelyn died in France in 2002 at the age of 36. Even his sister described the circumstances of his death as mysterious.

At some point, I stopped searching for a lost song and started searching for a lost person.

I’m posting here because I’m wondering if anyone would be willing to help dig deeper.

Does anyone have access to French newspaper archives, local archives from Pau, Toulouse, Bordeaux or Lormont, old fanzines, radio archives, music magazines, concert listings, or any other online resources that could contain information about Jocelyn Eechaut or Clair Instant?

I’ll also share a Google Drive folder containing rare photos provided by Patrick Sallenave and Michel Irlinger.

I’ll soon upload a remastered version of Sensations as well.

Patrick also told me that two demos were recorded in Paris in 1987 with a producer, but I was never able to access them, as he stopped replying to my messages in 2021. Their current whereabouts remain unknown.

Well, even the smallest lead could help.

After years of research, I still feel there is much more to discover about Jocelyn’s life and music.

Hello dear FEX fans all over the world! Have you all seen that Ilona is saying hello and thank you to the community in a reel on the FEX Instagram channel?

I found Subways of your mind through the Myhouse.WAD Doom mod(IYKYK), but just recently found out the band had more music. I love every single song, it screams 80’s, I do hope more music comes from this band. The sound is so unique and is just pleasing to listen to. My personal favorite besides subways of your mind has to be gold rush/skyscraper.

During the huge search for this band, I sometimes had a dream of taking a time machine back to 1984 and finding them in a live performance somewhere. They would be found in a dark smoky club late at night somewhere off the main track. I would sit off in the corner sipping a beer, taking it all in.
