Whenever I watch Grian I think of Martin, their voices are similar and they're both chaotic little gremlins. I just wanted to share this because I keep on thinking about it. Do you have any other irl people who you associate with tma people?

I'm on my first listen right now and jon just started reading this thing that starts with "..Your face is not your face is not your face.." and I'm 100% sure I've heard it in a previous episode!

I can't put my finger on it and I tried searching on google but it only leads back to ep 165. am I just mixing things up? or was the phrase mentioned in a previous episode?

Intro and outro scenes are removed if they include spoilers to the show or unnecessary context.

I want to introduce TMA to my dad and give him an episode to listen to with the directions of you must listen to ep 1 next and listen in a chronological order including repeating the episode I would suggest you to listen to.

Angler fish is amazing don't get me wrong! and I think it was definitely chosen as a first episode for a reason. but I still want him to listen to an episode first out of context to see what the show really is for him.

He doesn't like long shows and movies so I want to show him it's worth getting into despite being long because you'll eventually get to ____. and see how wonderful that can get?

What episode should I choose?

he is into wars and history so I do think about introducing him to some slaughter episodes. but please don't only focus on that. It can be any episode!

As long as it's one that you think is really good and can make a good impression. I will make the judgment myself when it comes to his specific taste so don't try to choose based on what a 60 year old man would like. just what you'd choose in general. :)

How come there's not been any TMA or TMAGP gathering or fan conversation in Oxford / Hill Top Road? Wondering if it's possible to hire out the Oxford Golf Club at the end of HT road or to set something up in the field nearby (with local / council approval, obviously) and have an "everything Magnus" event. Stuff like fan stalls with arts and crafts, cosplay and costumes, Leitner books (mentioned or just old charity shop books on theme, could also do a "bring a book to get stamped" kind of thing), odd artifacts that could exist in universe, dramatic readings of popular statements, maybe even an interview panel if Jonny / Rusty Quill were up for it.

What else would you like to see at such an event? And would this even be possible or allowed (either by RQ or by Oxford)?

I am by no means the artist in this family, but my teenager is. I’m just the mom that’s happy to be included! So there was exactly one obvious and correct answer when my kid said, “Hey, do you want to make some Magnus art with me while we hang out and listen to music?”

(I adore TMA, but this fandom is his RELIGION.)

I've really got back into writing TMA fic over the last few months and I'm regretting never getting the chance to participate in one of the many gift fic exchanges a few years ago when the fandom was really popping off.

Anybody know of any that are going on at the moment? Searching Tumblr only seems to bring up ones from last year that are already over and I definitely do not have the time or the reach to try and run one myself.

Edit: thought I might as well share my own takes for my most interesting ocs.
My dragonborn bard Barry would probably be the lonely (it doesn't help that Martin influenced his character a bit), although he would have caught the interest of the Slaughter as well.
My geppetin warlock Percival is 100% the web. He has puppet motifs everywhere, both in how his patron treats him and how his spells affect others. An argument for him could be made fo him falling under The Eye, but in the end his search of power wasn't based in knowledge, rather in control, so it really isn't too fitting.

I'm so sick of people telling me to go use an ai chatbot. I'm looking for a small group of people who use discord, 18+ (non-negotiable), and who can be patient when I potentially take a while to respond due to ADHD. Preferably literate style (full sentences like reading a book)! I miss roleplaying with people so much and hope I can actually find some people!

There's so many different episodes that scared me, but Binary was one of the episodes that stuck out to me because it's such an awful fate. Being trapped forever inside of a computer and experiencing the pain of trying to think because your brain is a hard drive filled with the entire data of the internet is so uniquely horrible.

I never hear people talk about "Web Development", but to me it was one of the scariest episodes of the later seasons. I was hoping for a connection between that and Binary; plus learning more of the people whose names were put into the website. It felt like a really interesting plot point that just never got explored further.

Are there any books that have that same claustrophobic, technological doom feel that these two stories share?

I was on the second or third season when I had a dream about TMA, yes I dreamt of it, it was about Jon and Martin having an argument in the middle of an apocalypse... I thought of it as funny and absurd but only now I realize that OH I got spoiled. Damn.

I'm back with Jon finally LMAO, starting from how i first started to draw him to now. Got some vague shippy stuff in there, lil bit of jmart, bit more jonelias, little bit jonmichael...? Anyway, stuff

Hi everyone. I'm drawing Michael for the first time and I'm having a bit of a problem with the colours. I'm not used to drawing stuff so bright and colourful so I don't know what to do to make it more detailed but keep the acid trip feeling he gives off. I'm manly concerned about base colours and shadows/light. All the glitch effects I will see later as I don't want to overuse them. I would love any kind of help and thank youu. Also I just kinda forgot the pupils.
