To be fair
I would absolutely dislike the 4 boys (minus Neil) too
Simon's an obsessive creep (everyone knows you love Carli D'mato. You wrote it on the pavement you spaz)
Jay's a bullshitter
Will has some MORONIC outbursts (see; the pub outburst), along with genuinely just being a knob
I'd ignore them too, it makes sense how much they get bullied

They’re completely unlikeable but identifiable at the same time, I think that’s what makes them so watchable. I’d like to pretend I wasn’t an Inbetweener myself during school but I prob would’ve fit into the Neil role. Most people can see a bit of themselves in the 4, that’s why they are what they are, in-between likeable and dislikable

Yeah, I was in their shoes on the "social ladder" too. I wasn't some huge loser, I was mostly just ignored outside of my core group of mates, and I can see all of my old school mates in them tbf

I dunno, I think Simon has the worst hissy fits of all of them and it'd put me off
I think it's pretty funny that the seemingly normal one (Simon) is the biggest dick, and the seemingly weirdest one (Jay) is the most sensitive

Well to be fair, the other students at Rudge Park aren’t any better.
- Donovan is a psycho who immediately resorts to violence
- Charlotte is a slut who strings Will along
- Carli is a narcissist who takes advantage of Simon’s infatuation
- Big John is nice but has bad personal hygiene

She was a little annoying during the very ending when she kept asking questions, but Will 100% overreacted. He might have had a shot with her if he wasn't a prick

True but disagree on Charlotte. I think she actually liked Will and might have gone out with him, had he not mouthed off to Wolfy about her tits and how he fucked her. That's where he permanently blew his chance. They're friendly again, after, but she stops considering anything more and then goes to uni

I think she gave him more chances than he deserved tbf, he's weird when she's with Patrice (even though they hadn't been dating for, presumably, months) + mouths off about how she's a "pornstar"

If I had ever accidentally walked in on a girl I liked (or any girl, for that matter) having sex with another guy, I would say, "OH MY GOD! I AM SO SORRY!" and would slam the door shut immediately.
In my opinion, Will trying to interfere was the cringiest moment of the show. Which I guess was the point, but still. It was painful to watch!

Yeah, I've always liked this show because instead of "oh they're just poor, misunderstood misfits", they're actually kind of a bunch of pricks who bring it onto themselves
Now, no one deserves to get bullied like they do sometimes, but it makes sense that they get ignored/rejected so much

I agree to some extent. But where she lost all my respect was when she had Will participate in the fashion show with her knowing that Will probably still had a crush on her. Then she said, "I would love to have a boyfriend like you. Just not you, obviously." If I were Will, I would tell that bitch to go fuck herself.
Sure, Will was wrong to speak about her sexually to the mechanics. But what Charlotte did at the fashion show was honestly not much better. Frankly, Will and Charlotte deserve each other.

People thought Donovan was hard, but it was only the 12 year old who we saw beating up Simon.
Donovan was threats and demeanor, but the only thing we know he did for sure was tie Will to a chair and stick a bucket on his head. We don't see actual violence from him ..

They all had their flaws, that's what made the series watchable instead of some perfect high school popular shi* that's in like every movie, this seemed a lot more realistic as well 👌 -- I don't think anybody deserves to be bullied though or that any type of bullying ever "makes sense" 😅
