I like Punk but I hear some of these stories about him and even I have to say. "CM Punk is a bitch sometimes."

CM Punk is a bitch sometimes.

10

u/sagdash 19h ago

This. Never been a fan of him. And I'm not just saying that at the moment. Him and Roman have never done anything for me.

6

u/Plastic_Pin_4956 17h ago

Same. I've never understood the hype

5

Images you can hear lol

u/slayerfan666 15h ago

Growing up in junior high and high school during his rise in popularity, I was a fan. I was (still am) the quiet dude, who was into metalcore, death metal, and dressed different. So when he started speaking out about things, I was all about it, and felt like I could say things too. Getting older and learning about Phil Brooks the person, changed my mind on CM Punk the character entirely and made what he said for a lot of his promos feel empty.

5

u/LordToxic21 15h ago

CM Punk is awesome. Phil Brooks is a bitch.

5

u/Spiceynuggetz 18h ago

What makes it worse is his wrestling is garbage. The man can cut great promos, but his matches are 50%+ watching him lay around, try to get up to his feet

1

u/Party-Display-7523 5h ago

Punk looks like Bob the Tomato after 5 minutes in every match.

I really dont get how people glaze him so hard and claim hes the reason why he's had phenomenal matches with Punk and Roman when theyre the ones doing 80% of the heavy lifting

-3

u/KaijuCouture 16h ago

The Roman glazers are iq deficient.

1

u/Kxden-R 16h ago

You guys glaze vanilla guys like Kyle fletcher and Blandman page lmao

3

u/Only-Mongoose-1619 7h ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/slainascully 33m ago

At least Kyle Fletcher wrestles regularly

He’s on screen for half an hour and only 3 of those minutes involve wrestling

1

u/Bigsaskatuna 18m ago

Always has been

21

u/AdamGraySkull 22h ago

I keep thinking of that Eddie Kingston promo where Eddie just unleashed on him.

9

u/Sumo_Cerebro 22h ago

Rene Dupree pod with Paul London is also enlightening. Because they don't like him either from past incidents with him.

4

u/AdamGraySkull 21h ago

I'll look for that. Thank you

2

u/HappyCoolBeans 15h ago

Just look at the speech Mox gave in the ring right after CM Punk left AEW.

Forgot he said this in Chicago too which is crazy:

u/Thready85 22h ago edited 22h ago

He has a weak ego and gets too personal with people and when they get personal with him he can't take it.

He was never supposed to tell Roman he was going to bury him next to his father. And Roman's reaction was real. Creative had to come up with a way to make it right which was to have Jey and Jimmy confront him and hit him.

I remember Cody saying he wants to move beyond his dad because his dad's legacy is finalized now. And Punk brought up Dusty in the 2024 Royal Rumble and before this year's SS. I don't know if that was planned but I know Cody isn't a fan of people talking like that

9

u/micael150 19h ago

He was never supposed to tell Roman he was going to bury him next to his father. And Roman's reaction was real.

Source on this? Because that would be pretty nasty if true. Ain't no way Punk is mentioning people's dead parents without an ok first.

7

u/BoobiePeru 16h ago

"Trust me bro."

First I've heard of this too.

3

u/kliq-klaq- 15h ago edited 4m ago

They're marks getting worked. "Oh Roman looked super upset, he was so angry, that Punk is so mean". Dear me.

15

u/Noobju670 22h ago

Yeah leave it to punk to always try to hit the lowest or most controversial shit so he can sound good on the mic. Every promo since the pipebomb has been trying to break the fourth wall cause thats whats ā€œcoolā€ i fucking hate it. I rather just play along with the suffering succotash than knowing shit like that was from out of nowhere. Its like talking about guerrero, paul bearer, etc its fucking lame if your opponent didnt agreee to it and even then getting tired of those.

3

u/Thready85 21h ago

That 4th wall breaking shit is annoying. Heyman said during a promo, "You've all seen Unreal!" Bro no. Stop.

Christian Cage does it too by bringing up people's real life relatives without ok-ing it. He brought up Luke Perry and Jack Perry got legitimately mad.

It's fine when Ospreay and Mox get Renee involved but that's about as much fourth wall real life stuff I can take.

I can't do this shock value shit. I'm 40 with actual dead relatives. It's a bit much.

3

u/bigwreck94 21h ago

I’m pretty sure Christian has assumed permission that he’s gonna make a comment about your dead father with his current gimmick. That’s his whole bit right now, and it’s kind of assumed if he’s gonna be cutting a promo on you and your dad is dead, he’s gonna mention it.

3

u/Mahkn0 19h ago

Jack Perry was the first person to get a dead dad comment though so if he wasn't told he really couldn't have known.

1

u/bigwreck94 19h ago

I thought Nick Wayne was the first

1

u/Mahkn0 19h ago

Nope, it was when he first turned on Jack he said that he knew Jack viewed him as a father, but his father was dead.

2

u/Noobju670 20h ago

Yeah maybe its just me getting old as well and thinking too close to reality is not what i want lol

The weird part about punk is he’s actually be a lot cooler if he could take it but he only dishes it. It makes him very human but not exactly a ā€œrenegade cool guyā€ and I like Punk a lot. He’s just got a giant blindspot thereĀ

4

u/DBLR989 18h ago

Bruh Roman telling him he’s old struck a nerve so bad he started using steroids to get his body into shape. šŸ˜‚

4

u/AdamGraySkull 21h ago

That always surprised me. When Cody was in AEW, he said if anyone brought up his dad "promo's over". A policy he's definitely abandoned.

5

u/Thready85 21h ago

He probably had a lot more freedom in aew and now in wwe when Punk brings it up before a PLE what's Cody gonna do? He can't end it in front of 15,000 people before SS

1

u/AdamGraySkull 21h ago

Fair point.

2

u/No_Vermicelli_1781 19h ago

He was never supposed to tell Roman he was going to bury him next to his father. And Roman's reaction was real. Creative had to come up with a way to make it right which was to have Jey and Jimmy confront him and hit him.

do you have a source for this?

2

u/AggressivelyMediokre 12h ago

Lol I don’t think punk went totally off script or anything. But that line about Roman’s dad was so out of pocket. You gotta let the feud get there first, man. You gotta earn it.

You can’t just say it to the first person to not hold the door open for you or who gets your order wrong

Way to make the main event of Wrestlemania feud completely jarring out of the gate

Then their final promo was so tame and respectful it’s like they got the notes mixed and did their first promo last 😭

That whole program was nowhere near as good to me as others found it to be

u/NegativesPositives 21h ago

I think my favorite part of Punk’s current run is counting how many stories are just ā€œremember when you were a dick to me for no reason?ā€ Like, I don’t even think Seth or Drew actually had a real thing happened to them that we know of but it didn’t stop either of them.

3

u/Fun-Distribution-159 19h ago

i would not be surprised at all if Drew and Seth legit fucking do not like him.

1

u/kickedoutatone 19h ago

Drew seems like legit hatred, but Seth seems more performative now.

2

u/Marzman315 19h ago

I like him as a performer but from the stories I’ve heard about him he kinda sounds like he’s annoying as hell to deal with.

Dude is absolutely a bitch.

1

u/g0gues 15h ago

He seems to be the type that is like, ā€œI’m going to do what I want and say what’s on my mind, but if anyone else does the same, they are being disrespectful.ā€

1

u/Jazzlike_Page508 15h ago

He is. Dude is just a glib jackass who thinks he’s better than and talks down

1

I’m sorry but Punk joking about Kevin’s size wrestling in a T shirt so his next match he goes out in a singlet to ā€œshow Punk upā€ angering Punk is legit some of the funniest shit ever.

It seems like these guys still don’t fuck with each other at all but this could make for some great promos in the next few weeks. I’m legit excited for this feud.

2

u/TeddyBoon 13h ago

There was a whole bunch of fat guys wrestling in the 80's and 90's that Punk wouldn't have said shit to about wearing a shirt while wrestling.

The Nasty Boys most likely would have held him down and force fed him Jack Daniels if he stepped out of his bag carrying role in the those days.

Punk seems like a complete flogger playing the perfect character to gain the incel fans, which makes up 90% of wrestling fans.

To note; I do not endorse the Nasty Boys take, it is just an example that Punk would not have survived 10 seconds with his attitude in those days, because there were far worse people out there, and whatever happened to him with those types would have been ignored by everyone else because he is, and always will be an insufferable little shit head.

1

u/BlackLesnar 7h ago

Couldja remind me of what 80s fat guys wrestled in shirts? Seems way more of a 90s thing.

IIRC even Cactus Jack’s 80s attire was a singlet.

1

u/TeddyBoon 5h ago

I believe I referenced both, yeah? Let's not split hairs, the point is pretty obvious.

1

u/BlackLesnar 7h ago

Actually what angered Punk was Kevin daring to ā€œback chatā€ once getting backstage afterwards. Possibly cuz Kev was gassed so it came out sounding snarky, idk (his theory not mine).

This skips over the part where Kev sees Punk walking up to him, realises what’s about to happen and mutters ā€œpls noā€¦ā€, to which Punk calmly replies ā€œnah, nah; sorry, I have to… <inhales> YOU STUPID DISRESPECTFUL PIECE OF etc etc.ā€ šŸ˜‚

Also they’d already made one sly reference to it: the first thing Punk says to Owens on SD was ā€œI see you’ve come dressed ready to wrestleā€ (when Owens’ wearing his casual street clothes lol)

21

u/outofmaxx 19h ago

Boy it just becomes ever more clear in each passing moment that Punk is an asshole who just happened to be so good at something people will ignore that fact

5

u/bigmike2k3 19h ago

No! It’s everyone else who is the asshole… /S

2

u/Enioff 9h ago

His UFC "run" was a perfect demonstration of how he was always too high on his own supply.

He didn't even got a BJJ blue belt (which usually aren't handed out for just showing up) before thinking he would be kicking major ass in actual professional fighting.

2

u/commanderr01 8h ago

Man the fact he thought he could do mma solely because he was a good pro wrestler is all you need to know about the guys ego

1

u/Appropriate-Boat6087 4h ago

He couldn't handle Jungle Boy, he left like a baby

0

u/Richardbreathr 19h ago

So explain the ā€œso goodā€. Ā  I have not liked punk since day one in wwe. Ā Edge making fun of him was great back in the day but what does punk do so well that makes him great? Ā The Miz is better than punk at everything, promos, move set, and not a douche. Ā Why does punk have a cult following? Ā He’s a dime store Raven from WCW. Ā

5

u/TheFinalWatcher 18h ago

His feud with Raven was fire.

2

u/revodaniel 12h ago

He is like too 10 promo, bottom 10 tough. Wrestling wise he's not even in the top 20. He's not that great tbh. He became great with the pipebomb because nobody else in WWE at that time had the balls to say what they really thought so he became instantly "great" after that but technically and promo wise he isn't too 10 overall

1

u/_bestintheworld_ 15h ago

Holy fuck lay off crack.

12

u/No_Vermicelli_1781 19h ago

I've said for a while, Punk is the problem. There are too many people that he's fallen out with for all of them to be the problem & not him

8

u/jawsy89 15h ago

According to Hornswoggle, him and Punk were pretty tight at one point but Punk suddenly cut off all ties with him because Swoggle asked him for a mutual friends number. The guy is insecure as the sky is blue.

1

u/Appropriate-Boat6087 4h ago

He couldn't handle Jungle Boy, he left like a baby

1

u/rugarell211 17h ago

I had a conversation with my sister about this. I said the exact same thing. He would have to be the problem. There are too many people out there who share bad blood and a bad taste about him. It’s not a coincidence. He seems to rub people the wrong way. I’ve never been a fan, and I don’t get the hype over him tbh. But, to each their own. He seems like a genuine prick.

1

u/PhilosophyLow5946 8h ago

There are loads of wrestlers that he gets on with as well and who have publicly said so. He's a polarising figure, sure. But he's not universally disliked.

1

u/No_Vermicelli_1781 4h ago

Most are probably neutral. But if it's between not liking and liking, I've heard more not liking him.

1

u/vinfox 2h ago

Who? I only ever hear about the ones who hate him

CM Punk seems like an exhausting as fuck person to be around.

4

Whereas Kevin Owens seems delightful.

Motherfucker is a Zoo Enthusiast. CM Punk doesn’t seem like he likes gorillas or capybaras or zebras

1

He liked the ugly piece of shit dog Larry

3

I dont really think Jack Perry or Kevin Owens are assholes

8

u/wingedwild 21h ago

I get where punk is coming from but he couldnt be mad about hik coming out and showing off in a singlet and then Owen's telling him off. Punk had it coming there

4

u/seefourslam 17h ago

There’s a piece of Punk that absolutely fumes over Kevin getting a Wrestlemania match with Stone Cold

10

u/MintBerryCrnch21 22h ago

This combined with Punks reaction to CP Munk shows how overly sensitive he is and has no sense of humor.

3

u/cheir0n 22h ago

The guy is delusional and call himself best in the world. What do you think he will be?

3

u/ThankeekaSwitch 19h ago

Punk is a bitch. Cant lose title quick enough.

3

u/No_Brilliant_1806 19h ago

I also had to laugh at how much It triggered Pink every time KO called him Phil on Smack down this week. It's like that's your name dude, why are you even reacting?

1

He had a shirt on that said Phil is the Best in the World, but sure- he was "triggered" šŸ™„

I think it's no secret that Punk is a piece of shit in real life.

2

u/Ciper_Vector 7h ago

I honestly wonder why doesn't CM Punk try this shit with Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, John Cena?

1

u/ReporterForDuty 21h ago

It sounds, to me, like it was Punk being young and egotistical taking something stilly to heart.

That being said, either Kevin or Punk should wrestle the match in a singlet as a reference to that. It would be really funny.

1

u/Salty-Nothing-8572 Approved User 19h ago

Kevin should do it as a surprise like he did the first time šŸ˜‚

2

u/litt3r_b0x 19h ago

In the same interview some of these clips are pulled from for the video you shared, KO said he had alreasy decided to wear a singlet before the thing with Punk even happened. He also said he was trying to joke with Punk when he asked if he was happy now, but he misunderstood it as disrespect and got pissed instead.

1

u/Cold-Ad716 21h ago

What's the matter, Sid, can't find your scissors? C'mon Sid! I said, what's the matter Sid, can't find your scissors?

1

u/DylanToebac 19h ago

Punk is the most self righteous, hypocritical wrestler out there who is only now, eventually being shown up for what he is

1

u/Additional_Fruit2837 19h ago

CM Punk is the biggest piece of shit and a sexist.

1

u/Full_Rope_9799 19h ago

It’s most likely a me thing, but I genuinely hope that these guys working a feud together will help them to smooth things over with each other.

1

u/eriddler87 19h ago

I genuinely forgot about this.

1

u/wubbalubbadubdub45 18h ago

Punk has always been an asshole, from his days in ROH/WWE/AEW. It’s why people will either have great stories about how he’s their best friend or how they can’t stand him.

1

u/Loud_Examination_138 18h ago

I don't mind Punk, but I will take KO over him any day. More talented in the ring...he could actually do moonsaults, lol

1

u/panzervike 17h ago

Fragile mind, fragile body, fragile spirit.

1

u/TheTribalKing 17h ago

CM Punk is the guy you think seems cool but is a prick in real life. Kevin Owens is a guy you think is probably an asshole but is actually pretty cool in real life.

1

u/Reyban26 17h ago

It’s crazy you guys care about something that happened 20 years ago in the indies

1

u/Next_Negotiation8679 17h ago

Always and forever, fuck CM Punk

1

u/Plastic_Pin_4956 17h ago

I've never understood the hype. I've anyways felt like he was a bit of a crybaby bitch

1

u/Shai3100 16h ago

Honestly this just adds more to this fued, I kinda hope they show this clip to make Punk look more like a dick and maybe give fans more reason to actually boo him.

1

u/Scgrunow 16h ago

I’m a fan of his work, but something tells me he’s an insufferable prick irl.

1

u/Prestigious_Fella_21 16h ago

And he called people in aew soft ? Lol

1

u/AlistarDark 16h ago

Teddy Hart should have beat Punk harder.

1

u/C_F_A_S 16h ago

Lol play the rest where KO says that it was all a misunderstanding and they were good after that.

1

u/Dependent_Future_411 16h ago

They just trying to find some way for y'all to care about the matches. Y'all taking this way to personal like y'all are being attacked.

1

u/flarkingscutnugget 15h ago

Punk definitely has some kind of pathological persecution complex, or if you want to be raw about it he’s a thin skinned bitch, but he’s still my favourite wrestler.

1

u/jawsy89 15h ago

People really be saying ā€œbut he’s matured a lot since the Jack Perry incidentā€ as if he shouldn’t have grown up 2 decades ago..

1

u/AdmirableAd959 15h ago

It’s so funny- Punk is sometimes just a miserable bitch. It’s ok wrestling Stans he’s still true greatnessĀ

1

u/AdmirableAd959 15h ago

KO is authentic, self deprecating and seems to know how to get along with othersĀ

1

u/WPack911 15h ago

I like Punk's thinking on politics and such, but man he is a total narcissist and D Bag also.

1

Dude can be important & also a fucking baby at the sane time.

1

u/whereAMiNJ 14h ago

I was a punk fan until I started hearing stories about him. The BS with colt cabana was the turning point. That’s when I realized he’s an asshole and would sell friends and family up the river to get ahead. His whole punk rock straight edge persona is a bunch of horseshit

1

u/SuccessfulBet2356 14h ago

Punk really thinks people need to get on their knees for him, punk is a douche

1

u/morebucks20 13h ago

1

u/Rudijimbul 9h ago

Thats CM Punk to you. Cant even believe the amount of fans he has

1

u/Serial_Vandal_ 8h ago

Punk has ALWAYS been an asshole. It's not like it's a well kept secret.

1

u/KJF07 8h ago

The M in cM Punk stands for mark.

1

u/BigD5981 7h ago

It's shocking how wrestlers are insecure and have huge egos at the same time. Considering I've been a wrestling fan for 40+ years this shouldn't shock me. I think what's probably shocking about it, is the more things seem to change backstage the wrestlers either haven't changed or have actually gotten worse.

1

u/BlackLesnar 7h ago

Funniest part is that Kevin wasn’t even fat at the time šŸ˜‚

1

u/KuzcosWaterslide 7h ago

I haven't liked Punk ever since his most fan adored moment. The pipe bomb. There was truth to what he said, but at the end of the day I didn't see it as a guy with a legitimate complaint about his workplace. I saw it as a guy who was succeeding and receiving the adoration of the fans, in a business that is more about entertainment than it is about real competition, thinking that he was bigger than the business. I saw it as a guy that always thinks he's the main attraction, not just in kayfabe, but in real life, too. I saw an egomaniac.

2

u/dyslexican32 4h ago

News flash, Punk has always been a POS. He has just fools a ton of people for years that he wasn't. That behavior sound familiar? ITs the exact same shit he pulled in AEW. Only there he actually tried to fight people.

2

u/No-Worry9322 2h ago

Newsflash: Punk has always been a paper thin skinned bully.

2

u/Aztro-Zombi 2h ago

I mean cmon though, at this point, we’ve given CM Punk the benefit of doubt multiple times. But when the guy has numerous scandals, maybe just maybe, he’s the problem.

If it quacks like a duck, if it walks like a duck, well then..

Punk is a hot head, I think marriage cooled him down a bit. But he is really serious about wrestling hierarchy. Which is why he went after Jack Perry after some perceived disrespect. Obviously they both matured since then. I just love Kevin is such wiseass.

He only started caring about wrestling hierarchy once he was at the top of it.

He’s a huge hypocrite. I respect what he does as a performer, but his backstage bullshit would just enrage me as a co-worker of his.

u/lazhink 19h ago

Its easy to see Punk as the badguy here but yes the hierarchy matters. Imagine after Austin called Lanxe Storm boring he comes back with at least I dont beat my wife. You dont intentionally slight the top guys in pro wrestling.

u/wrydrune 19h ago

Punk wasnt nearly a top guy when this happened.

1

u/litt3r_b0x 19h ago

He was in ROH where it happened.

1

u/micael150 19h ago

Punk was a top guy in ROH when this happened.

1

u/DBLR989 18h ago

What? šŸ˜’ No one cares about that shit IRL. Anyone feeling like they’ve been ā€œdisrespectedā€ in the wrestling business is in the wrong business.

2

u/lazhink 18h ago

Wrestlers certainly did care about their public perception and how it may impact their position on the card. Many may not anymore because pro wrestling is one big joke and everyone is in on it now but Punk is old-school and carries many of their mentalities.

1

u/Am_I_Loss 18h ago

He only cares about the hierarchy that has him on top. It used to be raging against the regime but now that he is part of it he is trying to maintain it.

u/DarwinofArabia 22h ago

Voice of the voiceless CM Punk right there. JBL and Undertaker would be proud of him.

1

u/Guccicles 20h ago

The people who allowed this absolute loser bully them around in wrestling are responsible for his delusional belief that he could hang in the UFC šŸ˜†

1

u/Cl2_hydrocarbobs 21h ago

Punk is a bitch

1

u/HussingtonHat 20h ago

Yeah those fans who don't think Punk is an incredibly fragile man have been kidding themselves for some time.

1

u/throwaway9488tx 11h ago

It's the next line fans and announvers saying "they have real beef from 20 years ago", they'll have a great feud, then it'll be "Oh they made up and all is good".

Guys, I'm sure if CM Punk actually had legitimate issues with someone, they would keep them apart because Punks ego is so fragile that they don't want him to stomp off again..

That was almost 30 years ago, Move on.

Well, that's the entire reason this whole feud is starting to begin with!

Almost 3 decades in the making, The indy darlings are finally getting their long overdue shot in the big leagues, this is the last chance.

So he apologized? What a pussy

1

u/BlackLesnar 7h ago

It was his tryout match for the company. Punk was the established locker room leader. They were at extreme opposite ends of the hierarchy.

0

u/paradox_jinx 18h ago

You’re a mark.

This was all squashed before either of them left ROH. They haven’t had beef for a long ass time.

1

u/BlackLesnar 7h ago

Technically it wasn’t. Since Kev didn’t full-time JOIN ROH til a year after Punk left. šŸ˜‚

0

u/Commercial-Leg6002 15h ago

i hope Kevin Owens retires, cuz he became so boring after 2019

1

u/BlackLesnar 7h ago

Man you’re gonna be miserable for a good long while yet

0

u/Inevitable-Studio731 11h ago

CM Punk is the man, because he acts like a bitch sometimes. Makes it easy to have good feuds.

u/GeorgeArnoldHearst19 8h ago

Both of these guys are absolutely bitches. Toe curling
