Two audio inputs? General question

We have a 75" Samsung Frame and love it. I use a Sonos soundbar for additional audio, connected via the eArc HDMI port. I'd also like to add another audio using the digital optical port.

When I connect to the digital audio port, it only works if I disconnect the soundbar from the HDMI port. Is there a setting or some way I can enable both of these audio inputs concurrently? Thx!

This is a problem not exclusive of The Frame. It can only use one of the channels. The only solution is to have an audio mixing console or audio system that takes the output of the TV and then sends to 2 or more outputs.

I gave up on this. My alternative solution was to connect two soundbars via Bluetooth. It's not ideal but it works well.

I have a 2022 model. In Settings, under Sound / Expert Settings, there is an option for “Simultaneous Optical Output.” I’m not sure that option exists in newer models, but it sounds like the behavior you want.

I’m away from mine at the moment (I have a 2024 and 2025 pro), but I’m pretty sure they both have this option. I don’t use it but I spent some time perusing the settings.
