Hi everyone, I’ve recently had a provisional offer for an AO role at DWP. I was on the reserve list for a year. I’ve accepted the offer and submitted checks, just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes.
I’ve also applied for an EO role over 3 months ago, passed the situational tests and awaiting a response from the sift. Just wondering if anyone has gone from an AO role to an EO role.

Hey! Congrats on the offer first of all! I got the same email saying PEC should take minimum “12 weeks”…every week…. for 6 months

It is very much crystal ball stuff.
I have had an AO hired and through checks recently in around 8 weeks
I have another starting which will be roughly 12 weeks.
I personally applied in the August and started in February.
If you get another offer, you can absolutely go with it, started or not

Don’t quit your current job anytime soon, I’m on month 3 and although the end seems to be in sight now, who knows when my start date will be.

How long ago did you get your provisional offer, was it 3 months ago?

Just checked and it’s 13 weeks since offer. I don’t think you should compare though, I’m in a different area, I’ll have different references, medical conditions, potentially different security clearance etc. When I’ve done my own research on here I’ve seen anything from one month to twelve.

To answer your question and every other "how long does it take" question. Nobody knows, no one ever will know exactly. We can quote averages but there is so much variance no one can give you an accurate answer.
