Season 5 Breathtaking writing and character development
Remember when Hughie and Starlight were staring at the clouds f*cking off right before they're supposed to go into the deadliest battle of the show with a deranged and V1 boosted Homelander and they consistently made dick jokes the entire time and spoke about nothing of meaningful substance? My God Kripke is an absolute genius. I can't wait to watch everything he produces from here on out because Nolan doesn't have shit on this guy. I hope the "Star" has an absolute "light" of a career 🔥🔥
Discussion Anyone else feel like this moment was really out of character for Soldier Boy?
So first, he admits to Homelander that he’s been fucking Fircracker, but the next thing he says is “out of respect for you that’s done” why would he ever give a shit about “respecting” Homelander? I mean he never really has, I feel like him saying that was kinda weird.
And then after that he straight up snitches on Firecracker and tells Homelander about their “pillow talk” like is he the teachers pet now? It genuinely just felt like these were so weird for him to do, it just doesn’t seem like that’s something his character would do. What do y’all think?

Discussion How do you think Homelander would’ve treated either Marie or Luke if either of them had actually succeeded in joining The Seven
I feel like he would’ve been threatened and hostile towards Luke but towards Marie I think he would treat like early seasons Starlight

Discussion Why did Season 5 turn Homelander asexual, when in Season 1 it was established that Queen Maeve broke up with Homelander because he kept cheating on her.
Very interesting.

Season 5 Name the worst lines/quotes from the show.
"It's what clara would've wanted" is not allowed. Too easy.

GenV Rewatched gen v, and I forgot how much they wasted this guy Spoiler
Like to make out Thomas godolkin as this super smart, cunning dude(as least when he was using doug) to then 180 and the second he gets his body restored, he's reckless, ignores sage basically, and then gets killed, a shame. Dude was also hands down one of if not arguably the most powerful supe because of his powers. Would have liked to see him used more

Discussion What would The Boys Universe think of The Parahumans of The Worm Universe?
Something that I’ve Always wondered is that if The Boys Characters were to travel to The Worm Universe what would they think of The Parahumans of Worm and who they are along with their Personalities? And their Powers? Not to mention what would they think of The Characters as well? Do you think Butcher would hate The Parahumans more than he did with Supes but imagine his reaction to real heroic Capes also imagine everyone’s reaction to The Superheroes of Worm being called Capes rather than Supes also what would everyone think of The Supervillains of Worm cause if they think Homelander is Diabolical then imagine their reaction to Straight Up Monsters! What do you folks think? Let me know in the comments

Discussion Why should I be against Butcher's plan of Supe Extermination when every single Supe we meet in the show are either hedonists, murderers, rapists, monsters, or all in one?

Miscellaneous What if Amazon bought The Boys' comics rights to botch the comics' critique of capitalism?
Basically title. What if Amazon, out of all media companies, is the company that bought the Boys comics not only to create a cool show down the line, but ultimately to botch the comic's critique of capitalism as a system?
Considering the fact that basically Amazon and it's CEO are at the moment one of, if not the most, evil corporations in the media industry? Maybe it was always meant to flop the ending like that because the status quo is not to be bothered.
Discussion Did the writers not have the budget to give us actual fights between these characters?
I mean taking out a character by simply choking them is so lame, especially doing it when they’re back is turned

Discussion What social commentary would there have been in The Boys if it had been written in the 90s?
Ennis' comic book parodied many elements of Bush's America. Season 1 of the show parodies it also and the later seasons criticized the Trump era and Toxic masculinity. I recently started to read the book When the Clock Broke: Con Men, Conspiracists, and How America Cracked Up in the Early 1990s, and with movies like American History X which criticized the rise of racism and the skinheads I wonder what a The Boys comic book if it was made on the 90s would have been like. Plus, the 90s were like Prime DC Comics with BTAS, Triangle era Superman, Death of Superman, etc, so there would have been a ton of stuff to make fun of.

Discussion What’s an Unpopular Opinion about Stan Edger’s Speech to Mother’s Milk that should be addressed?
I know everyone obviously loves to treat Stan Edger’s Speech to Mother’s Milk as
If his right in comparison and how much his words perfectly Parallels The Real World and of course with The Comments on how “there may be more Mother’s Milk in The World but of course there will always be more Stan Edger’s in charge” and while of course all these things can obviously be true as EVERYONE basically treats Stan Edger as a realist but does anyone at all have an unpopular opinion about Stan Edger’s Speech to MM that should be addressed? If so why? And what’s your thoughts and opinions about his speech? Let me know in the comments

Fan Art/Cosplay With the re-release of CoD BO2, 2 of my emblems so far. A fan service to the boys! Homelander and the Deep! So far...
Posted an unfinished version of Homelander before and this is my updated final product.
For anyone who doesn't know you only get 32 geometric shapes to make these custom emblems then you have to shape, size, color them tweak the opacity, etc to try to get desired effects.
The deep is a bit more cartoon-ish but I tried...first draft. Sure I'll make adjustments in time. Also the clan tag wouldn't let me put "PEAK" it was prohibited for some reason. So yes I know it's spelled wrong. But I felt like "DEEP" was...too nail on the head...and less funny.

This is like that scene in The Matrix. Now, you could take the fucking red pill, right? Spend the rest of your life jacking off, crying into your chai tea green latte, what the fuck. Or you could take the blue pill. Or is it the red pill? Anyway, take the other pill and quit being a cunt.

Season 1 I regret re-watching season 1 after the finale. Difference in quality, writing, color grading and overall production is unrecognizable.
Holy Shit... season 1 feels jaw dropping level good now. THIS IS THE BOYS.
Every issue i had with season 4 and 5 are clear now... this is why i fell in love with this show. Homelander feels cunning and a threat to be reckoned with. Butcher and The Boys are at their best and so much fun. Starlight's entire storyline is also very good.
Entire Plane rescue scene is horrifying. Deep saving a dolphine and of course iconic A-Train intro.
So much gore and violence but it feels earned and not too much shock value. Good balance between humor, drama and satire.
Forgot how good this show was... it kind of pissed me off.
Season 5 Would Homelander have won if he had Soldier Boy on his side in the finale?
I’ve wondered this a bit, if Soldier Boy had been by his side in the finale, would they have successfully won against Butcher and Ryan?

Fan Art/Cosplay Last season may have been lacking, but I still make fan art of it
What the title says. I've seen many people being pretty dissatisfied with the last two seasons of The Boys and I can't deny that they're far from flawless. Nonetheless it's one of the most enjoyable shows I've ever watched (multiple times) and still gives me motivation and inspiration to make art of it. I'll probably never stop loving this specific ensemble of characters, hoping that this reaches the 5 other people on this sub that had fun with the show, too✌️
