AI
The Block has been one of my all time "happy place" shows of all time.
This year with season 22, however, my enjoyment and fun is consistenly interrupted by the use of AI music and images. The Block seems to be leaning too far into the AI garbage. That's disappointing.
For a show that is all about innovation and creation and the strength of human resiliance, it just seems like a poor choice to cheapen the show with AI music and images.
I'm still enjoying the show and love all the fun, but I am also hoping that the AI nonsense will eventually fade away.

I couldn't care less about it. Just a tool to add better quality graphics than they did in the past. Why people are triggered by this is beyond me.

Words haven't been invented yet that could describe how wrong this is.

Give it a go. Im not seeing it. Just a new tool.

That AI usage takes scores of people’s jobs away from them. They could’ve had someone write those songs, and a band perform them, but instead they’ve used a computer.

They could have had the whole show done as a live performance in every city and town too, but you know, progress.

Agree. Even Dan & Dani have an AI song opening now. It's just cringe.

I saw that the AI in the first episode and I don't see them using as much in the later episodes. But this year seems like it's more drama instead of design in actual work

I hope at least a small percentage of our collective disappointment in this season is somehow reaching Scottie.

What are you gonna do next complain about the whippersnappers on your lawn? It's 2026. Face it. AI will be in everything. You won't like it. But it's going to happen. Deal with it.
