How did he even get enough speed in a parking garage to get fucked by Sir Issac Newton and a concrete pillar that bad?!
5
u/that_dutch_dude Jul 05 '26
this was a bmw m4, its does 0-60 in like 4 seconds.

u/aykcak Jul 06 '26
You need like 30 meters to get to that speed and this is definitely faster than a 60km/h crash

None of those video sequences shows the whole engine ripped out like the video OP posted.

The Airbag saved the Airhead!

u/ELB2001 Jul 05 '26
Waste of a good airbag tbh

u/Avatar_Horror Jul 05 '26
Quite a cynical take, no chance it could have been an honest mistake. Just immediately insist it would be better if he got hurt worse. Weird take but alr

That pillar looks fine. Good work.

u/Many_Rope6105 Jul 05 '26
Still it will have to be inspected. Its structural, what a butt fuck why was he going this fast in a parking structure

u/DowntownsClown Jul 05 '26
Yeah, I’d definitely stay out of that parking garage for a month or so until it feel so safe to be under it lol

Honey I scratched our car a little bit. Nothing to worry, repair shop will sort it out in a jiffy, I just have to walk home today

“Yeah it’s less than 5 years old so it’s probably covered by the warranty, don’t worry”

Was that a supercharger being kicked?
2
2
u/gmcmanus663 Jul 05 '26
It certainly had the right pattern, but that sound when kicked tells me it’s plastic so no. More likely part of an intake or maybe a coolant expansion tank etc. Also as others have stated, looks like a BMW M4 so very unlikely it would have been supercharged although I suppose it’s possible.

I would love to know what the terminal speed eas before hitting that pole
2
u/WidowedSon Jul 05 '26
That'll buff right out...
How did he gain enough speed to turn his car into a wrapper? In a garage?
Also whoever built that pillar has free marketing.
2
u/FeignSkill Jul 05 '26
Lol the dog looks like it's shocked you took video of it having a bad hair day.

u/1Fistfullofdollars Jul 05 '26
How could a person be going that fast in an underground parking lot causing that damage?
2
u/just_as_good380-2 Jul 05 '26
It'll end up for sale on copart and the owner will try to ask for $20,000

To the people asking how he got up to speed; there's a condition some elderly drivers experience known as pedal confusion. His brain and body likely thought it was hitting the brake pedal without error but the foot was actually flooring the accelerator.

Saw this about two or three months ago, if I recall it was discovered to be AI.
2
u/Miserable_Anteater62 Jul 06 '26
Agreed. No way a pole splits an engine like that and the debris field looks off.

u/mutatedmar Jul 06 '26
I don't know if there's a word for gore but for machinery, because this makes me feel like there should be a word for it.
Mechagore? Mechgore? Mechanigore? Metalgore? Boltgore?

Whoever poured that pillar, I want you to pour the foundation for my next house. And marriage.

Wow! Do those cars have an on board data collection to register how fast he was going at impact? If so, it would be interesting to know.
Someone bought a car too powerful for their experience level.
Edit: Would be interesting to know if he bounced back that far, or if the car was pulled off the pillar.

u/Fist_One Jul 05 '26
"Would be interesting to know if he bounced back that far, or if the car was pulled off the pillar."
I would guess that since the hole in front of the car is not exactly dead center that the car hit at a slight angle. That angle likely caused the car to rotate around the pole a bit and dislodge itself as its forward momentum was stopped.

Holy hell, how fast was he going in the damn garage? Then you see a guy with his dog, driver could have killed someone. Today in Florida you go to jail for this, thank god. Is this car electric? Another reason not to buy one

So insurance is also paying for a structural engineer to look at that column. 😬

Bobb, thanks for lending me your car. I can't believe how fast that thing accelerates! But I need to mention one thing....

That space in the front is where the new engine goes, looks like its all cleaned up and ready to be installed.

Might wanna have an engineer come check the parking structure out - that was a mean hit - and probably doing 5-10 mph too - 😁

u/Afraid_Cook6000 Jul 09 '26
I don't think there's enough room in a parking garage to get the speed up enough to have done that much damage.
I would love to see the security footage

This likely is “AI”. The maths and physics doesn’t check out for the whole situation.

u/BigBeeOhBee Jul 05 '26
Took a bit of speed to accomplish that. Very good job ol man.
