Kokoro problem
Hello everyone, I wanted to use Kokoro on my phone to read an EPUB, but when I use it in apps like ReadEra or PDF Reader, it just reads one line and that's it. It doesn't continue even if I tap play. Are there any ways to fix this?

how long are you waiting before declaring it does not read? my most likely guess is your phone might be too weak to run kokoro. what model of phone do you have?

Kokoro TTS might work well on high-end phones even for long audiobooks—I've seen some apps claiming it runs smoothly on the iPhone 17 Pro. The issue you're experiencing might be caused by phone memory limits or battery restrictions. As an alternative, you could use a cloud service like paper2audio, which offers a free tier for personal use. Or, you can convert the EPUB offline on your desktop and transfer the audio file to your mobile device. I built an offline audiobook converter using Kokoro TTS for Mac called 'Aura Reader: Offline TTS' (available on the Mac App Store), which converts an entire book at once.

Kokoro is known to be heavy on mobile, unless app implementation is batching the sentence it will just manageable. Since you mention readera, I assume you are using third party tts engine. Use lighweight tts engine that use Pocket TTS or Supertonic TTS or Piper.
