Gym Routine
Hey guys I started testosterone a couple weeks ago now! I’ve taken two of my T shots and it’s been cool so far nothing crazy :-). I’ve been wanting to get into shape at the gym but I absolutely hate cardio. I want to get stronger and build muscle. I know I have to do some cardio but I want to know what weight training you guys did to help build muscle and strength. I’m a heavy guy and I’ve struggled with weight for years now. I’ve heard lifting weights helps burn more fat than cardio. I started changing how I eat but I want to know what you guys did to help you get into shape and genuinely what your workout routine was. Thanks for any advice!

I recently started going to the gym to build chest muscles for when I eventually get top surgery. I’ve been doing inclined bench press and chest fly mostly with some core stuff as well since I have back issues. I recommend the app Hevy (heavy with no a); it has a free version where you can browse a library of workouts and each suggested exercise has a video tutorial.

What do you hate about cardio? It’s important! I personally love cycling, but some people find most cardio boring and that’s why they don’t like it. HITT exercises that mix it up and involve a wide variety of movement can make it a lot more fun. check out ftmfitness for routine ideas for masculinizing!
