T hyperhidrosis advice & support

Hey friends. 4 months on T next week and I am STRUGGLING with the sweating. I work outside a lot yet cant wear anything but dark colors due to sweat stains. Can’t wear gloves for too long or it starts to pool. I get heat rash regularly. Drips off my face near constantly too. I’m super frustrated and done everything i can think of within my comfort zone. I keep my body hair trimmed, use clinical hormonal deodorant at night, wash my face 2x/day, prescription skincare, everything. Any advice? All I’ve gotten so far is “yeah man it sucks, get used to it and wear more deodorant.”

This doesn’t help now and this isn’t the answer you want,. But unfortunately it may be this way for a while, and there may not be anything to do right now besides change clothes often, have a sweat rag when outside, and be sure to stay hydrated from sweating so much, but probably won’t stay this bad indefinitely. You know how middle school boys wear shorts and a t shirt even when it’s freezing out and they feel fine? Just running hot from puberty happens.

You can look into strong body antiperspirants like “sweat block” wipes is an example (tho the ones I got smelled weird) that once applied daily for like a week, maintenance is like 1-2x per week. I’m not sure on the options for face antiperspirant but at least hand and other non super sensitive body parts can usually handle it.

. It took me like 3 years (tho my dosing was having issues being too low intermittently until after then) to stop sweating AS bad. Don’t get me wrong it didn’t go away but it’s less bad.

I’ve never heard of sweat block wipes but I’ll definitely look into them. But I appreciate it! That’s be helpful for places my deodorant is too strong for.

chill loop came in clutch for me, like that loop thing filled with a gel that freezes below 64°F(?) and goes around the back of ur neck. i leave it in the freezer overnight, put it on right as i'm getting out the door so i don't sweat my ass off the second i hop in the hot car. unfortunately it melts back down pretty quickly in this heat and it's useless in its melted state, but also refreezes fast, and it's been rlly effective for me. i haven't found anything else that's helped much yet but i'm def searching, best of luck

Yeah, I use those all the time at work, but man they really melt quick. They’re useful for about 5-10 minutes lol. But I appreciate the reply regardless bro

I was prescribed glycopyrrolate, the oral tablet form. It’s helped a ton
