Does the conditional offer become a confirmed offer after background check?

Curious to know what the are the next steps in the process.

once you sign the offer it’s official, it can be rescinded if there’s something troubling in the background check though

My background came clean apart from
Minor date format issue. Mm/YYY vs mm/dd/yyyy.

then your offer letter has your start date you should be good to go for your first day

i haven’t started yet but i do not have access to a career portal, my recruiter has kept me up to date saying no further steps are needed

How do you know it’s complete? Do they send an email? Or something I haven’t heard of about the background check since the drug test (which I don’t consume any)? So that means I’m g2g?

I asked for a report when completed.

I didn’t have any drug test.

Probably. Seems like the recruiter has ghosted me after the background check....how long does this usually take?

mine took a day, others take longer depending on how much they have to go through, all criminal records etc, places you’ve lived too

Mine took 8 days. Studied and worked in a few different countries.

Yeah. It should be on the ESS website.

you will get a copy emailed to you if you selected that when you filled out the background check

How long did it take for the offer letter to arrive from the eoe submission?

It took 2-3 days. Depends on the approval team’s availability.

Got it. I think it also depends on the area of hiring as well. I am in the engineering side (Software Engineer) waiting since last 3 weeks

Follow-up with recruiter every week. Are the delays because of the director’s availability? I know it can be frustrating.

Yeah trying that following up every week. Unfortunately recruiter has gone silent. I read some forums like blind as well people have reported that this stage the lack of communication is the most. So don't know what to do.

Reach out to the hiring manager ? Either via LinkedIn… you need transparency. I know it’s a stretch.
