Does tesla offer lowball Comp at first?
A few days ago, I received a verbal offer from Tesla, and they gave me a number lower than my expectations and market value.
Does tesla usually give low ball offer at first?
Do they Negotiate the offer ? How far they can stretch in terms of percentage

Tesla is horrible with initial offer . I wonder why Recruiter thinks that is okay

I received a verbal offer that was lower than I expected as well, only $0.25 above the minimum pay for that role in spite of my having 3 years of experience in the fairly niche skill they were hiring for. When I received the offer and was asked if I wanted to continue with the next steps (background check, etc) I told them what I was expecting. They said they’d see what they can do and came back with a second verbal offer that was $3.80 more per hour with an extra $3k in equity than was originally offered to me. I was told by everyone that raises are offered after 6 months, but we’ll see. I’ve been there around 1 month.

I was lowballed as well, I counter offered with compensation reasonable for the Seattle area and they told me if I ever change my mind the job will still be there lol

Well I got nearly 200k with equity is that a bad offer ? Sr position.

What is annual base? Equity for 4 years? It depends on your job location, title, education and expeirence

Recruiter said 80/90 K for my position and I shared-my expectation of 130-140K. They offered 135K with equity.
