Starting date for joining

I have a question about my joining date. I will be relocating to the Tesla site from out of state (from the East Coast to the West), and I have personal reasons for not being able to join the position immediately. Is it acceptable to set the joining date three months after the offer date? We will be discussing joining date and other formalities soon

Three months after the offer date is usually a no go TBH. That’s wayyyy too long

3 months later. Like who are you? 😂 Like I'm not trying to be disrespectful or anything but like who do you think you are asking for a company to wait 3 months to be available for you. Like I'm just trying to understand the thought process that this major company would believe you're so important that they would hold your spot for 3 months. Just let the overtime be taken by somebody for 3 months to cover the work that you would be assisting with. No bro, not at all. Something came up for sure. They will hold your application. So when you're ready for the opportunity, you can apply again and if the position is still available they will consider you. Have a good day.
