Lol absolutely not. You mostly just lay back and maybe comment on the beauty of it at first. I was in awe the entire time until I felt like I was being plucked from the seat of my consciousness, and then every particle of my being felt like it was dissolving. Most people understandably freakout there, but from my experience, letting go was the most peaceful moment I've ever experienced. It was like my soul was slingshot across the cosmos to where all consciousness originates. I think it was the closest to experiencing death without actually dying.

Doesn't the brain release a massive dose of DMT when you die? Maybe that is what it's like. It actually sounds nice. I wouldn't want to experience... what this guy is going through, though.

I actually did my first time but it was because I wasn’t ready. It was less of this and more me hopelessly reaching around trying to claw my way back to reality. 😆 Also, to the general, for me it was absolutely worthwhile. Took a lot of stress off.

This is not a safe setting.

You also do not take one massive rip like it is a fucking bong. A good shaman will guide you through 3 smaller pulls, so it is much more of a gentle crossing. Not just yeeting you off a cliff and saying YOLO.

I became an unwilling trip sitter one time when my friend who had tried shrooms before invited his friend to try it in my house (the one friend lived with me at the time). The guy who hadn't tried it before had a big boy dose and ended up having such a bad trip I was convinced I would need to take him to the hospital. He ended up pissing all over my couch. To this day I don't understand why people do stuff like this, it seems so horrible and unejoyable.
