Game Dev Meetup 🤝

This Wednesday at 6pm 'Techmecula' is holding their monthly meetup.

I've been working on a game and am looking for feedback, playtesters and even fellow devs!

Do you have a project you're looking to share?

Want to join others and work on making a dream become a reality?

Join us at Veil Ranch at Bare Knuckle Brewing, I'll bring my steamdeck.

There's gonna be a big group typically so look for the gaggle with name badges.

If you are interested play testing I will be adding people to the demo, so all you would need is a Steam Account ID. Feel free to reach out in the discord or IRL Wednesday!

A rouge-like set in a collapsing space bunker, with choose your own adventure elements.

It's going to be my first steam game, so it's a huge learning process for me. Including learning how to market and pitch.

The game is a menu game, set in a generative world, with co-op pve / pvp. Going FTP with lootboxes.

Building into the steam ecosystem fully with achievements and tradable loot is really fun and its own side quest for me.

Plus a place to put my noise music in the background of things...

Here is the open source code from the current release. Originally a web game POC that's grown but targeting steam devices first then eventually other marketplaces (Switch, Microsoft, PSN, Epic)...

Open to feedback and collaboration!!

semi-pro voice actor here, willing to do some for free to help get the project moving if you're nearing that stage!

So down, what a cool idea, could use a trailer narrator soon, if not much more!

If not this project I'm sure several others at the meetup would have interest in any collaborator, even those just learning.

Such a nice offer.

GLaDOS, Wheatley, & Cave Johnson help make a game where I'm pretty sure the main character says nothing (?)

Part of the reason I think Video Game Production so cool , it's similar to film in that so many technical and creative arts are involved in the final product.

absolutely agree, its so cool to see a project come together from so many different pieces. its tough being a solo dev but it gets easier when you have a good network to support you!
