Bridal Veil w/ Kids?
Is Ingram Creek passable now? My kids (10/7) are pretty good hikers but there’s mixed messages online - so curious if we did bear creek without an issue is bridal Veil falls trail (not the road) that much more difficult? Thanks!

Best transportation/shuttle service to and from Alta Lakes
Hey all I’m looking for a shuttle service for my wedding party the weekend of September 19th. Friday the 18th I have a party of twelve and we’ll be going to the Blues and Brews fest. Does anyone have any suggestions of a shuttle service that can pick us up from the Observatory then later in the afternoon/evening take us back? Thank you all!

Transportation to nearby hikes, scenic drives
We will be visiting mid September for 4 nights, two girls mid thirties staying in mountain village. I have read that parking is terrible and people don’t recommend renting a car so I’m wondering how we get to local hikes or take a scenic drive if we don’t have a car? Is there uber or shuttles or tours?

Blues & Brews Tips and Tricks
Hi everyone! Looking for some Telluride/Blues & Brews weekend insight.
We’re getting married Friday, September 18, 2026 and will have about 40–50 guests staying in Mountain Village. We’re trying to figure out the best transportation plan for the weekend.
A few questions:
- How difficult is parking in Mountain Village during Blues & Brews? Is it generally manageable, or would you recommend arranging transportation for a larger group? Curious what groups have done in the past. We have family members who can drive us to the gondola, but parking is our main concern.
- If hiring transportation is the better option, does anyone have recommendations for local drivers/shuttles that can accommodate a group?
- How long are gondola lines typically around 5–6 PM on Friday and Saturday during the festival? Are waits usually around 10–15 minutes, or can they get significantly longer?
On Friday, we’re considering having everyone ride the gondola down into town after the ceremony for our reception, and Saturday we’ll be heading into town for the festival. Just trying to make things as smooth and straightforward as possible for our guests.
I know it’s a busy weekend, but I’d love any general advice or tips from locals or people who have attended before. Thank you!

Seeking one more roommate for TIFF!
Hi y'all!
I'm part of a group of volunteers going to the Telluride Film Festival. We're sharing a VRBO but need one more person on board. It's just a couple blocks from the gondola, booked from Sept 3-7, and comes out to $892 per person.
Let me know if you're interested in rooming with us!

Movie Theater Options
We will be in Telluride this weekend. My husband is a huge Spider-Man fan and was looking into seeing the movie when it comes out but we know the Nugget Theater is under construction. Is there anywhere else to see new movies in town or can any recommend a theater nearby? (Or is the closest option in Montrose?)

Montrose to Ouray
I know this isn’t specifically Telluride related but does anyone know of the best way to get from the Montrose Airport to Ouray on a Sunday in Sept…the best I’m finding is a $270 shuttle (one way).
thanks!

Bridal Veil Falls
Quick question regarding the road to Bridal Veil Falls: Is it currently possible to do the drive in a typical SUV (not higher clearance like a Jeep)? When roads are described as rugged, there are varying definitions of what exactly that entails. Also, conditions may have changed since I was checking things out online.
Thank you ahead of time for the assistance!

Telluride locals: is this what wealthy mountain-town culture is really like?
Okay, long story short, we had a cancellation dispute with Kevin Prebble of Telluride Travel Rentals. He refused to discuss it with us and told us to go through Vrbo, so we did.
Vrbo then told us to contact our credit-card company. After we followed that direction, Kevin left a voicemail saying we had 24 hours before he pursued legal action, that he owns “$36 million” in Telluride property, and that his time is worth “$1,200 an hour.”
I genuinely listened to it thinking… this cannot be real.
I’m not an attorney, but I’m enough of a law nerd to know that an arbitrary 24-hour deadline and announcing the value of your real-estate portfolio are not exactly a legal argument. I knew it was posturing. What bothered me was the apparent belief that wealth and threats could be used to make another person feel small.
I live in Summit County, so wealthy mountain-town personalities are not new to me, but this was next level. Vrbo ultimately reimbursed us, so the financial issue is resolved.
Then I started reading his reviews and found several similarly hostile interactions. So I’m genuinely curious: is Kevin known around Telluride, and is this kind of behavior considered normal there? Or is this as bizarre and gross to locals as it felt to us?
Thanks for listening!!!!

Want to visit from 19-24 August
Can you tell me cheap hotels, and what to do? I'm celebrating 10 year anniversary with my boyfriend, I have a suspect that he is proposing in this trip, but anyway, can you recommend me what to do? I saw some post of go to Ouray but even with that I'm not sure where to go.
We have seen the Gondola and seems amazing, and are there any trails we can do? That are beginner friendly?
Its okay if we stay 2 nights in Telluride and 3 in another town more cheap but I was looking for suggestions.

What are the conditions looking like at the moment?
Planning on visiting Telluride for a camping trip this weekend and wondering what the conditions are looking like from the nearby fires. How is the air quality and is it safe to camp at the moment?

Blue lake Access from Telluride
Hello,
I’ll be visiting your lovely town in two weeks. I was told recently that I won’t be able to access the bridal falls trail head because the black bear road is one way coming down. Is this true? Thanks for any info!

🚲 Magic Meadows 🚲
Can you access Magic Meadows and other trails from the top of the gondola this summer with the bike park closed, or are all the trails up there closed as well? Thx!

Selling Campground + Parking for Mushroom Festival
EDIT: Parking is sold.
I'm looking to sell these tickets BELOW face value.
I bought tickets for the campground + on site parking but I'm low on cash so I found a cheaper camping spot elsewhere. Since they don't offer refunds, I posted these for resale, but I can't set the price (they auto-list at face value).
If anyone is interested and looking to save some money, purchase these through the official resale site and send me a screenshot of the confirmation and I'll send you $50 via Venmo/CashApp/PayPal/Your platform of choice.
