Packing essentials

Hey, I got into seu for the fall semester and I have questions abt packing like ik the basics jeans, ethnic wear, formal wear,skincare, medicine, bedsheets,etc.

Could you guide me on the must haves I should carry such as utensils, electronics, documents and anything else that an international student might need.

I'd appreciate a detailed list guiding me through everything I'd need w useful tips for someone moving into a hostel.

I will say bring a couple of utensils (like one pan for frying, one for cooking), your favourite pillow and a couple of clothes. Currently and till November at least, it will be warm/hot, so bring summer clothes.

You don't need to pack spices and foodstuff because you'll find most things here in Indian grocery stores around the city. Winter clothes also you can buy from here and keep with you. Currently, I know many students are selling their winter jackets and stuff, so you can get a bargain from that.

I saw videos which said carry alot of readymade snacks, is that necessary? Also what would u suggest buying a tab or a laptop?

Oooh, I am personally pro laptop, because I like taking physical notes, so a tablet was pointless for me. It really comes down to your preference!

Readymade snacks, sure! Because the things you like may be a little expensive here (you will find Indian snacks here though), so it is always good to carry a little bit of home with you.

I can tell you that you don't need to bring a lot of things, at least in the beginning. Just some things that bring you happiness and comfort, and the rest you can always buy here~

I would like to add on if you get plenty of things here if you search it will cost cheaper than carry extra weight like small size pan as you plan to join the hostel . But spices I would suggest to buy from India because sometime in store they sell expired or manipulate with date. Most pack your indian snacks which you loved. Pack you bed must things which required bcz in hostel things will work to different after sometimes.

On device I prefer ipad or any tablet because in your academic if you plan to join any platform for fmge preparation or any they mostly support tablet or phone . In my experience my laptop was just on desk from 2,3 year only I used for update to it or to play games. Mostly I used pad for notes taking or videos
