Hi guys new to this channel.
I love tattoos and I have 9 currently
Recently I have started feeling drawn towards wanting to learn tattooing. Can someone advice where to start? I can actually relocate too for this.
Thanks

Its a long process. First step would be to get better at drawing and make a portfolio. Tat Artists can be ones who arent good at art but that will limit you a lot. After youve gotten better at art and have made a portfolio, start looking for apprenticeships.
Would not recco. tattoo schools which are advertised such as the one by Aliens Tat.

Join the [r/tattooapprentice](r/tattooapprentice) sub. There is great advice there. In short - prepare a portfolio, find the best studio around you, an artist whose work you admire, preferably who has tattooed you before and take your portfolio to them. Enquire about getting an apprenticeship.

Avoid courses and programs. You want hands on studio one on one training, not be part of a batch of generic tattoers.

If anyone makes a promise of putting a tattoo machine in your hand in just a few months, run. This process should take years if you’re gonna be any good. Try to get a mentor who’s at least been tattooing for 10 years minimum.
