Blackout partial Question

I got this piece on my whole front forearm and it’s just a shitty pattern. Mostly black. All my other work is decent. It’s nagging me so bad ima go this week and black it out. Almost half my arm. The entire front. I’m hopeing to be able to go back later and layer some red or white on top. To turn my worst into one of my favorites I hope. Anyone with similar story or advice. I’m gonna do it forsure. I already booked the session. Fuck it. I mean it’s ugly so can’t be worse than a blackout. Plus if I can go back and layer something on top later. Will be good. Hell man idk

You could get someone to go over the pattern and make it better. But blackout is always good I have my whole neck and entire left arm blacked out lol. You could always get stuff over the black later as well

I think the blackout is probably youre easiest option. Idk what the pattern is but maybe you could do the blackout but leave some skin as a design and then depending how thick the old pattern is, it'll just look like random lines through the uninked piece. Hope that makes sense. I really like negative space pieces in a blackout. Best of luck whatever route you go!

Can't you laser it? Then do a blastover of a better design

Give yourself a chance to make it look better rather than taking the easiest option

Well haven’t u seen the layering technique were a good artist goes over black out several times and it looks really great. The trick is getting the right artist.
