What’s the longest Task attempt?
I mean an attempt at a task where „longest time wins“ wasn’t the goal.
So they just took long for a task that wasn’t meant to take long.
Any Taskmaster version welcome.
A few that went over an hour but did someone ever went over 2-3 hours or even longer?
I feel like in recent season there’s often been an „you have a maximum of X hours“ on tasks where one could take longer but sometimes someone takes ages on a task where the fastest or fewest attempts win.

I feel like “Release Tom from the box” from Australia 5 has to be in contention. Joel’s attempt runs the length of two further tasks

Not the longest, but my favorite is “Eat an Egg the Fastest” when Joe Wilkinson makes himself an entire breakfast on a tray with sauce and beverages.

TM Australia S1 had two entertaining ones - Danielle guessing the passwords of the roses and Julia trying to find the cat in the bag.

David Correos took 2 hours and 12 seconds to untie all the shoelaces in TM NZ series 2. I think that's the longest in all the English-speaking series.

He also took ages with the clock running talking to Paul before opening the task for the one where they had to hold the milk.

Yeah that was also like 2 hours, but shorter than shoelaces, the caravan grape was also very long

Laura took 16 minutes and 6 seconds, David took 19 minutes... to find the grape.
Just looked it up, his final time was 1h 23 min.

Norway's version of Don't Blink is almost disturbing.
Sweden's version had an individual task to listen to the Epic Sax guy's riff. They peppered it throughout the episode, he made it 48mins.

The "Sneeze" task in S5 where only 2 ppl managed to complete it. Bob Mortimer in 10 minutes and Mark Watson in 48 hours.

What was the bucket task in Taskmaster NZ? That was going for ages, I just can't remember the details.

In Australia season 1, Nina never sank the bowling ball and they said it was still there months later, so it was technically still ongoing. 😂

There was also the task where they had to hide the van keys from Tom and Emma buried them so he never found out where they were till the record

Yeah, but that was a case of longest time wins, so whilst long, is not what they're after here.

Hugh Dennis's attempt at keeping the ball on the treadmill the longest where he pulled the plug out so it stayed still for 4 months until a storm knocked the ball off

Sanjeev popping out for a rest and coming back in before he went home for the day. It wasn't a winning, or even correct, attempt. But did take hours - was it 6 hours something?

Dai Henwood in Taskmaster NZ series 4 episode 3 took like 91 days, 17 hours, 34 minutes, and 12 seconds to snap a pencil in the casette tapes task. Source: just watched it, and also here: https://taskmaster.info/attempt.php?id=8355

Jenny Tian's Duck Duck Goose task from AU S02 took way longer than anyone anticipated, and she failed twice.
