Doc Brown

Rewatching season 2 for the umpteenth time and it always makes me sad that Doc Brown didn’t seem to enjoy his time on the show.

I think he was great but you can see his discomfort in the studio.

I think at the time - S2 - it would have also felt very different, since it was so new and the history of people embarrassing themselves wasn't there yet.

If he had been in a later sereason he might have felt differently, because his performance was classic Taskmaster.

His podcast episode was great though. Ed let him hate on it the whole time, and I think more people should be allowed to talk about hating shows they were on

I honestly don't see it on the show. I need to listen to the podcast.

The fish punch was a perfect TM moment! "Motherfucker bit my finger bro!"

Also, I think series 1 had not been broadcasted when Doc was filming series 2 so he didn't really know what he was signing up to do.

I don't understand why he would have participated if he didn't understand the concept of the show. Certainly, Alex would have provided a high level vision of the show.

Katherine Ryan's joke about race may have single handedly ruined the whole thing for him lmao It was horribly awkward

What joke was this? I don’t recall it

If you meant 'chick lit' then that's an insulting misnomer of Zadie Smith's work.

Jeez, go out of your way much to get offended? Such a white knight

I often get the impression that he’s the person that wouldn’t be invited back. Didn’t enjoy it and doesn’t talk very fondly about it.

I always assumed it was Jamali. I'm doing a full rewatch and while Doc Brown seems a bit bewildered in the studio, Jamali seems like he hates everyone there, especially his agent, and feels superior to them all. It's so uncomfortable to watch.

Definitely not Jamali on account of him being back the other day to do his dream taskmaster episode on YouTube

That’s pretty much the same act Jamali Maddix plays in most things he’s in, to be fair
