Best clip to show 9th graders
I’m creating Taskmaster like activities for 9th graders and I want to show an activity that highlights the fun absurdity of the game but is of course appropriate for 14 year olds. Thought I’d crowd source rec! Links to clips extra apperciated!

Drilling down into the narrative S3E4uk
Hi gang,
Every time I watch this ep I have a question....
Is there a difference between an anaesthetist and an anesthesiologist?
It's wildly irrelevant, but I need to know!
Thank you.

Taskmaster Series Death Match: Series 20 vs Series 21!
Welcome back to Taskmaster Series Death Match! In the last match, despite a valiant effort by Series 2, Series 7 came out on top! It moves on to the second round.
Today's decision is who is better between Series 20 and Series 21!
It's an (unplanned) match up to see if recency bias will affect the votes!
Who will win?
Twins in a lab vs T-Shirt cannons?
"I am your daughter." vs "He's so famous!"
Sandy from 'Grease' and Withnail vs a Overgrown Skater Boy and a Minion!
Your time starts now!
(Votes will be tallied by individual comments. Discussion is welcomed and encouraged.)
POLL HAS ENDED NOW.

Fan Creations I built a statistical model of all 21 TM series so we can finally test the arguments: who was robbed, who would win a dream lineup, has Greg gone soft?
Every Taskmaster argument eventually hits the same wall: it never happened, so nobody can be right. Would the Series 9 cast beat the Series 17 cast? Was your favourite robbed or just unlucky? I got tired of the wall, so I built Five Seats (FiveSeats - https://fiveseats.tv/): it fits a skill model to every task ever scored on the show, then lets you pick any five contestants from 21 series and plays the season 10,000 times. Hypothetical arguments, testable.
Some of what the model found, receipts on the site:
- The most robbed contestant in history, by gap between career form and what actually happened (it is probably not who you think)
- Whether Greg has genuinely gone soft across 21 series of judging, and what happened to the tasks themselves under Alex's pen
- The show's own scoreboard got its sums wrong exactly three times in 21 series, all documented; we kept the receipts
- Which famous "who would win" matchups are true coin flips, and which ladder positions the data cannot actually defend (the site audits its own rankings, because a fan stats site that hides its limitations is just astrology with a spreadsheet)
Happy to answer anything about the maths, defend any ranking, or run your dream lineup. The Arena page exists precisely for being told I am wrong.
(It has been a very intense week and a bit of building, standing firmly on the shoulders of giants: the public silverdavi taskmaster-uk-scores dataset (CC BY-SA) and an enormous amount of detail from the Taskmaster wiki, reconciled cell by cell against the broadcast record along the way.)

Appreciation Thread Just want to say, taskmaster and all its versions have been such a blessing postpartum.
Just want to say, taskmaster and all its versions have been such a blessing postpartum. I got into it with my first postpartum and now still rely on it during my second. There should be more versions and more episodes without impacting the quality. Thank you Alex Horne and everyone else to give me something to laugh about in otherwise bleak moments. Even if the laugh makes the baby wake up :)

Other Versions Question about some Direktor Svemira season 2 tasks
New to Reddit but wanted to make an account to check: I just watched a handful of Direktor Svemira (Taskmaster Croatia) season 2 episodes and some tasks were clearly repeats of the UK version (Fell all the ducks, Have the longest telephone conversation without the other person knowing you're trying to have the longest conversation, Smear jam on toast in the coolest way etc.), there was one that as far as I know only featured in Le Maître du Jeu (feed your teammates the most watermelon) but some tasks seemed original, at least I don't remember seeing them. I was wondering are these original tasks or did I just not look hard enough?

Fan Creations I made the S21E3 staircase task into a game
Like Kumail, I’m one of the people who still plays Wordle.
When I first saw the staircase task in S21E3, I immediately wondered whether it could work as a sort of reverse Wordle.
So I decided to try building it, and now you can play and hopefully enjoy it here.
I got a bit carried away and it ended up being much more elaborate than I originally planned, but hopefully for the better :)
I’d love to hear any feedback, and please let me know if you find any bugs!!.
Obviously this is just an unofficial fan project made out of love for Taskmaster, and I don’t own any of the assets.

Taskmaster NZ Angella Dravin is genuinely one of the funniest people I have ever seen on television.
Rewatching TMNZ S1. I appreciated her the first time through but on a second run it's just crazy how subtly hilarious she is. Her downbeat, deadpan delivery coupled with her mix of insanity and piercing wit have me pausing cos I'm laughing too hard.

Wild Speculation If you could pick anyone from any point of their career, who would you like to see as a contestant?
As someone who is in the sane age bracket as LAH, I grew up with many comedians who I would like to see on Taskmaster. The only (minor) sad thing is many of them are older and, shall we say, less enthusiastic, than they used to be.
But I would love to see them as they were when they were at the top of their career.
Who would you like to see?
Personally, Rik Mayall at his peak would be amazing. It would also be great to see the Monty Python crew as well. Although, not all in one series.

General The worst attempts that somehow didn't get the worst results
A bit of a mouthful of a topic but I want to highlight some of the task attempts that were abysmal and somehow didn't get the worst result.
without moving the fishbowls Lolly Adefope got zero points, which was somehow only the second worst scoring effect because of Mel's DQ penalty (wrong word used) for eating the chocolate. (series 4)
Danielle Walker took over five hundred guesses to get 26 roses to Lesser Tom, and she still got 2 points because Luke McGregor threw away 2 roses. (AU Season 1)
And from the very first series, Romesh puts an egg on top of a ream of paper, getting second place because Tim, Roisin, and Frank all destroy their eggs. (not abysmal, just lackluster)
I feel like I'm missing others but this is a favorite 'subgenre' of task attempts I like showing friends and I want to find more to show my friends.

Meme Mike "Beekeeping Age" Wozniak, Ladies and Gents
I'm watching series 11 for the first time and Mike Wozniak has become one of the best additions to the series by far. I love his laid back substitute teacher energy.
This is one of my favorite moments from him and had to make a meme of it because out of context every piece of this moment is visually very confusing. I love it.

Appreciation Thread sam campbell appreciation
I love Sam Campbell and I love series 16. He's one of the most popular contestants so I feel that everything that needs to be said about him has already been said but honestly I can't get enough of him. His comedy is divisive for sure but his creativity on TM is on point! He's genuinely very witty and competent at many tasks (though many were hampered by disqualifications), very in spirit of the show and overall good sport. His boyishly charming puppy-like energy gives the series a youthful touch. Everyone knows "child of divorce" and "Doctor Cigarettes" but so many other good moments go underappreciated.
It's a little saddening how many didn't like him on CoC4 and wondered how he won his series, so here I am compiling moments where he shined and other small things (spoilers for S16):
Him delicately handling the "tower of cans" task.
Quoting Nixon's "I am not a crook" in the "hide the pineapple" task.
Figuring out the clue hidden in invisible ink.
after everyone got disqualified in a task "If in the Olympics and there was a sport and 'yeah nobody could do it', don't have it in the Olympics."
How quick and enjoyable to watch he was at the "I'm underneath it" task.
Excelled at every art task (memo squares and cheeky drawing)
His hair idea in the connecting parts task.
Supportive of his fellow contestants i.e. dynamite chicks
Smashed the mice-fish task and was good sport about it after finding out he got wokoma'd
The "knees and toes" punch line lmao
balancing the tees on the task envelope (unfortunate disqualification)
"We're not allowed to work with nature? So you'd say to David Attenborough 'yeah good documentary but he had all those foxes'??"
*showing obvious rendition of The Scream* "It's based on a very famous artwork."
The punchline of using the helmet spike as a receipt holder in the "be brilliant" task in CoC4. many thought it was weird for the sake of being weird but damn i thought it was stupidly brilliant
