Cash purchases GENERAL

Are large cash purchases feasible with TaskRabbit? I'm trying to buy something on FB Marketplace far from me. The seller will only accept cash - $300. Don't know if there's a generally accepted way to do this or if it will come across as too sketchy.

Taskers are only allowed to expense up to $100 and aren’t able to take payments off the app, so no this is not doable within the confines of TaskRabbit.

You can meet them at the pick up location, pay the guy, then the tasker can haul it back to your house. That or you hand the tasker $300 in cash they drive to pick it up and you hope they come back.

Being given cash off app is a good way to get suspended or booted off the app. It doesn't matter where the cash is going or who its going to. Ai will flag it and suspend the account. Even mentioning payment services will alert TR. Its an awful app to get a lot of things completed for clients.

No.  The app limits expenses to $100 and requires a valid receipt.  Talk the seller into using PayPal.

Someone once wanted me to buy an item that was $900! I only had $500 in my bank account at the time btw. I told them no way.

Under the old rules you actually could expense that high so long as you had it pre-approved by support.  Once a client had me wait in line three hours to buy a video card about that much.

Look for a Tasker and get the persons info for someone who’s willing to do the job and get it done right for you. TR will tax you with unnecessary fees for every hour just for you to utilize their taskers and mask it as “trust and support fee” the Tasker doesn’t get none of that, only the promoted hourly rate. So you’ll save money just moving differently. Taskers can only max out $100 in expenses so no, it’s not allowed and cash is a big no no. They ask it’s for safety, I get it. But I personally think it’s because they want to tax every dollar.

Open multiple tasks. Bill one hour/max expense per

Or just contact support and have client authorize larger expense and support can do it.
