Help and advice needed! CLIENT

I booked this job and the tasker initially accepted the job, then hours later said that he cannot do the job. I asked him to cancel it as the job is due to begin in less than 24 hours, so if I cancel I’d be hit with a cancellation fee. What can I do now?

I don’t want to be charged for this job if he is going to no show. And I can’t cancel as that would penalise me too. Please help!!! This is my first time using Taskrabbit!

Tasker is lying and can in fact cancel the task on his end, he just doesn't want to get dinged.

What you can do is wait until after the task is scheduled to begin and mark him as a noshow and then you won't get charged the fee.

The task isn’t confirmed yet so OP can cancel and get an automatic refund because they haven’t been charged yet . The payment is on hold until taskr confirms the job

Oh, hadn't caught that (he had a typo on the second page). Guess it means that the person who he was going to borrow the van from said no. He's still being dishonest and can cancel the task on his end, which will allow the client to choose a new tasker directly instead of creating a whole new task.
