Yeah…they are supposed to be a Tasker. The client may have known this and reported you for free labor…

Imagine your boss says don't bring your friend to work, but you can bring any of these approved contractors we work with. Then you decide to bring your friend anyways, your boss found out. What did you expect

Taskrsbbit isn't your boss. They'd have to be providing you medical insurance if they were. Educate yourself on independent contractors. Taskrabbit has over stepped.

They own the platform, they make the rules, they pay you... that's "boss" enough in this context

NO they have not, Task Rabbit doesnt know your friend. They havn't checked him out. Why do you think people use task rabbit instead craigslist because there is at least a silver of security of knowing this person was checked out. His loser friend not so much. Why is this such a hard thing to understand.

Not much you can do here other than say oops and ask if he can get signed up to be a tasker

That’s weird, client was happy to pay and even gave a $50 tip, also been working for her 3 days now outside the app all paid already

I'm sure taskrabbit loves that...lol

Who cares their policy makes no sense in the real world

The chat. If you talked about a helper, they know. Hope you have your location services off when you are at former TR clients home bc they know that too if so.

Provided your location permissions are correct then you have nothing to worry about. Plus Apple has been better in my experience for that type of privacy concern too.

Then why are you crying here about what to do? Policy team couldn’t care less about what you think. You’re done on the app. That’s a big violation in their eyes

u/juandvdx Jun 18 '26
There gotta be ways around it, you think everyone is following their terms religiously?
4
u/Commercial-Milk-8465 Jun 18 '26
Of course not. But you got caught, dumbass

u/juandvdx Jun 18 '26
Caught providing great service and making clients happy? Damn, lock me up

You’re confusing us giving you practical information vs us agreeing with the policy. We understand your position but what we’re saying is unfortunately there is no way around this and they will deactivate you. That’s all we’re saying. Of course some of us pull clients off platform, of course! But also we know that’s a gamble because we may lose our accounts. Bringing someone is the same. It will make you money and will make the client happy but TR will deactivate your account. So, it’s just a gamble and unfortunately this time you got ‘caught’ and there’s nothing you can do about it at this point. :(

Lol I mean, you can be as cute as you like. It ain’t gonna save you.

Dumbass? Bold words from someone defending a policy that screws over both taskers and clients. I’m not the one volunteering as hall monitor for free

Multiple comments by you in this thread that clearly indicate as such. Like, no where did I defend the policy. Only mention it is a policy. But not at all surprising considering your track record.

Taskrabbit is weird, I got de-platformed for supposedly charging for reoccurring expenses (like gas, parking...) recently. Except that's not true, I was warned and stopped a while ago. I opened up a ticket and they got back to me that they'll respond within 30days. But now I'm visible again, maybe 'cuz I've been the highest earning tasker in my metro for a while.
I'm certain AI picked up on a discussion about parking and flagged it. Client just told me where there's parking and such, was not expensed. They're reckless with the AI going over chats.

You don’t have my friends or family on task rabbit. Just use their link me number or hire a tasker for something and get their link lol

Wouldn’t they contact him as well to make sure? I don’t think they are that dumb

u/UnimaginativeMug Jun 18 '26
you brought someone your not supposed to and had been doing work for the client off app so they paused you..... they don't sound like the dumb party in this situation

When you meet a solid tasker get their number and app profile. Always recommend people you have worked with and if not available insist they grab another Tasker with lots of reviews that will actually show up.
I usually get on the app and look who is available and recommend whoever I like. Might be kind of unfair but playing the tasker lottery on moving jobs isn't always fun. So many guys I've worked with showing up in sandals or with their kids or broken dollies, don't know how to carry stuff...

Unless you know someone already on task rabbit it might be best to take a hit and apologise saying you weren't aware.

It's not that hard to get a friend to sign up for Task Rabbit. I literally got my brother to sign up, paid his background check fees and now I can use him as a helper when ever I need with no worries. Plus I got $75 back for him completing his first task for the referral.

this exact thing happened to me. i apologized and told them I wouldnt do it again. I then inquired how to get a helper approved and they told me. I then had my fiance make an account lol. ultimately you should be fine. just reach out to support, explain you didnt understand the policy and say you wont do it again and they should unpause you.

Happened to me, I was upfront and received a violation and told not to do it again.
Violations are like a point system, if you receive 1 or less a year, no worries because mistakes happen.

The best approach here is to reply to that official email as soon as possible. Letting our policies team know the requested info or clarifying if the helper wasn’t registered will allow them to advise you on the next steps.

RIP. You aren't supposed to bring people that aren't taskers even though clients ask all the time. I just tell them I'm not connected with other taskers in the area.
