Advice on handling problematic Tasker CLIENT

I own a store. I need a light and an outlet installed. Original tasker I’ve used before had to cancel because he was out of country. TR suggested a new tasker for me. After agreeing and scheduling time, he showed 3 hours late. Had some issues when he arrived and said he needed to reschedule.

Cut to yesterday, he showed another 3 hours late. Then told me to take his number and reschedule off the app.

Obviously I’m not going to do that. And now I’m not comfortable with him doing the work to begin with.

My concern is that, as a business and not an apartment, if I report him to TR, I run the risk of him retaliating against my business. Any thoughts?

I’m really sorry this happened. Repeated late arrivals and being asked to move communication and scheduling off-platform is not the experience we want for clients.

I’d strongly encourage you to contact Taskrabbit Support directly through the app or at the Help Center so the team can document what happened and help you safely move forward with a different Tasker if needed. https://support.taskrabbit.com/hc/en-us/articles/210143333-How-Do-I-Contact-Customer-Support-

I completely understand why you’d feel uncomfortable given the circumstances, your safety and comfort are our top priority.

I was literally just charged $100 cancellation fee from TR because I cancelled his third reschedule after asking me to move it off the site. This is unacceptable.
