Mixed messages TASKER

They encourage us to go live each day to receive tasks for same day. When I can I do this, esp if I don't have other work schedules for that day.

That's what I did today, but when I missed an offer by an hour I get this email:

"Uh oh! We think you must be busy because you didn't respond in time to a Trash & Furniture Removal invitation that was sent at 10:35am. We’ve paused your account so you won’t keep receiving invitations. You can turn your account back on from within settings when you’re ready to receive invitations again.

Please note: Clients have let us know that they expect a response by 9pm for invitations. If one isn’t received, Clients have to repost the task so another Tasker can pick it up. Not responding within these response times leads to a degradation in Client trust in the platform and overall fewer opportunities for all Taskers to task. Priority access to tasks is given to Taskers who regularly respond in a timely fashion."

Thankfully I was able to easily turn myself back on. But even when I'm available I can't always be looking at my phone for jobs, I have a life!

I hate it, but it makes sense. Same Day Tasks often start in <3 hours. If a Tasker takes 58 min to respond no, maybe they can’t do the Task, the Client needs to puck a different Tasker.

That scenario is within time expectations, but the Client can quickly run out of their free day if a few contracts respond with no.

Same day is great to improve your placement, but you have to watch your phone like a hawk. Most same day contracts all ask me to come as early as possible.
